Forest Lake vs White Bear- Vadnais Arena

Post by MNhockey29 »

This is a big SEC game tonight with the Rangers and Bears who have both been playing good lately. If Forest Lake beats WBL handily will that improve section seedings?

It would put them over Andover for sure, but I think Forest Lake should be put above Andover even if they lose to WBL. St. Francis on strength of schedule alone should be told no matter what they do they will never be higher than 7.

Well, it depends which seeding logic you're using. If you use FTP's "section wins first and foremost" method, then no, it can't affect their seeding. If you use a more complex system, then it conceivably could--though most rankings have a big enough gap between ER/CEC and the Rangers that they would probably need some help to move up from #5.

Still, a win would give them a pretty good case for the top 25 next week. It should be a good one.

Last game between these two resulted in a 2-0 Bears win. I expect it to be another lower scoring game. I'll take the Bears to win this one 3-2.

Flake still looking for their first goal this year against the bears.

Bears looked very good tonight. The defense has been remarkably better, Gorman's been solid in the net, and the Wahlin line has really been generating some grade A scoring chances. Hopefully they can keep this momentum going with no setbacks heading into sections!

Great to hear the Bears have righted the ship and Gorman is getting it done in the nets. Wondered why he wasn't playing earlier this year.. was great last year in Bantam state tournament..
