Richfield - Hill-Murray
Hill-Murray 12, Richfield 0
Congratulations to Zach LaValle. On Thursday he broke a 42-year old record and is now HM's all time leading scorer. He broke Tom Conroy's record of 175 pts. After today he is at 181. He's also the man behind HM Hockey's fundraiser for breast cancer research. At last Saturday's game both Tartan & HM wore pink tape. The T-shirt sales and auction raised $13,000.
It also went by unnoticed but Bill Lechner passed Terry Skrypek's 325 wins as head coach. Coach Lechner passed it on Dec. 1st and is now at 342.
HM is proud of both of these great gentlemen.

Moorhead took a penalty while on the PP. Mann for GR has been laying on the ice for a long time, ambulance is on its way. Didn't sound like a dirty hit, but it was to the head area.
Hope he is ok.
Would appreciate any updates you get as to the injury & how he is. That was the scariest one I've seen in a few years.

Stillwater and Mounds View tie at 2. The gamesheet on the Hub for this one is rather intriguing, as it has the SOG at 222-179 in favor of Stillwater. What, were they counting every touch of the puck as a shot?

Good thing Zach didn't have to play the teams Conroy had to play in his days because he would have never beat that record... Oh and Conroy did it in 3 years not 5.stpaul wrote:Hill-Murray 12, Richfield 0

LaValle did it in 4. He was listed on the Varsity in 8th grade but played very few varsity minutes and didn't score. Disagree about the Conroy era HM schedules. They had plenty of double digit wins over much weaker opponents. HM's modern schedule is much tougher. This year they have played every top 8 AA team except one - missing only Duluth East and have played the Class A #1 STA three times. That makes 9 of their 21 games against the best teams in the State.12to14 wrote:Good thing Zach didn't have to play the teams Conroy had to play in his days because he would have never beat that record... I have heard that the CT scan came back clean and he was heading back with the team but his neck is very sore. Thankfully it looks like nothing too serious.SPUDNUT wrote:north_bear wrote:Still in the 3rd, same score.

Good to hear - he'll probably need some Tylenol in the morning.
Wonder why they didn't dish out 5 minutes for it. Was definitely not intentional, but people go for tripping in every game for accidentally getting their stick tangled in someone's skates. Just wondering -
