Eagan clinches South Suburban Conference

Post by almostashappy »

Prior Lake's 4-0 victory over Burnsville on Tuesday gives Eagan a 6 point lead in the conference standings with 3 games left to play. And since the Wildcats swept both of the teams sharing second place (B'ville and Jefferson), they'd win the tiebreaker even if they lost all of their remaining conference games (LN, Eastview, AV). Not that they will, mind you.

In other words, Eagan has clinched its second consecutive conference championship, exceeding most everyone's expectations (not mine! \:D/)

Congratulations to Coach Taylor and his team. =D> =D> =D>

Hopefully the conference championship will translate into a number one seed within the section since that is what all the regular season means, in reality. We are just now starting to enter the final stretch of the season. Sections are a couple weeks away!!

Good luck to Eagan!!
