Wow, really strange. This topic seemed to get a lot of clarity in the last day or two, and mnpuckster manages to steer it into the ditch in about 45 minutes. Mnpuckter you deserve twice whatever they are paying you. Attack the character of someone for many on here that don't know him or their family.Bluewhitefan wrote:Just ask Shjon Podein.mnpuckster wrote:He is looking for his next spot to jump to play hockey.
Baer played 4, maybe 5 years with the WI Fire. The team folded before his 8th grade season.
There was an opportunity for him to play 8th grade with his hometown SLP team, and with his brother, without eligibility concerns. A pretty unique opportunity for them.
Coach Podein knew all of this. Hardly a striped tiger.

Hmmmmmm Interesting to read the Canadian take on this, taking the NCAA vs CHL angle;

Well, we had a good discussion going for a while. It was rather fascinating to watch you all go back and forth, before things started to go off the rails. Whatever one thinks, it is good to have people opining on both sides of the issue. However, we also have to keep things in perspective...we are talking about a 15-year-old, and we need to be careful (not only in attacking his decisions, but also in elevating him into a cause célèbre for arguments over development paths). Likewise, Ken Pauly also deserves some respect, even if you disagree with his actions (which I do, if anyone cares).
Seeing as nothing remotely new has been said in quite some time, I think it's time we give this some rest, at least until there is some other development.
Thanks for contributing.
