Actually, no. Not sure who will advance from 1AA and 8AA, but the favorites from the other sections are;

2AA - Edina
3AA - Eagan
4AA - Hill Murray
5AA - Blaine
7AA - Duluth East

Those above 5 teams combined have a 14-7 record against the top 5 teams in 6AA

Seems like 6AA (and the Lake Conference) might be a bit over-rated.
When you put the single best teams from the other sections against the top FIVE of ONE section, of course the results will be skewed. Nice logic, referee. No one said the winner of 6AA is the best team in the state; it is merely common knowledge that 6AA annually has the most depth as to HOW MANY top teams it contains.
I am not saying the winner of 6AA is best or worst and most (including myself) would agree with you, that 6AA has the most top end depth. I am just responding to MNHockeyFans statement:

Whoever comes out of 6AA on the boys side should have an impressive record against teams advancing to State from the other sections (remember, he is comparing the BSM girls team, who would have dominated their fellow tourney participants)

Since likely teams advancing include the 5 I listed above, his statement is probably not going to be accurate, as those teams combined have a winning record by a 2:1 ratio (14-7) over the best in 6AA.

Actually, yes, that poster on the girl's forum was correct as I went back and checked. Here are the games that BSM played against the teams from the other sections that make the AA Tourney. The scores add up to 27-3:

BSM 3, Lakeville North 0
BSM 8, Irondale 0*
BSM 6, Irondale 0*
BSM 5, Hill-Murray 2
BSM 5, Eden Prairie 1

* North Suburban Conference games

:roll: um, ok. I am not questioning the posters assertion that the girls team outscored their tourney counterparts 27-3. I am challenging his assertion that the eventual boys 6AA champ will have a similar record against the boys field.

Just the 5 teams I mentioned hold a 14-7 record against the top 6AA teams, so it is unlikely that whichever team emerges will have a similar story of dominance against the boys field, since collectively, the 6AA "powers" just haven't fared that well against the likely opponents they will face at the State Tournament.

Every single one of the girls on Minnetonka's team has played together throughout their entire youth hockey career. So technically, they have 0 "recruits". Therefore, I would hope HM has better recruiters.

Yeah I guess that this thread has been supported by 4 or 5 people is telling. Givit a break guys, er gals. Flag this note if you want. Girls/womens hockey is the biggest joke that was ever allowed to happen. As I said before, it's an afront to the game's forefathers and it's too bad modern-day idiots keep trying to label it legit. Psuedo hockey. Just plain stupid.

Poor JCarlson. Didn't get asked to Sadie Hawkins, eh? Maybe your Mommy hung your sheets outside and advertised your nightime incontinence? Regardless, your assertion about girls hockey is obviously the result of some earlier childhood trauma. Why else would you make an obviously ignorant statement that holds no merit? Get some counseling. Either that or get someone to tie on your skates and try skating with the Gophs or the Dogs. I would imagine you would last about as long as it takes for you to sit down and take a pee; but at least then you would respect something you know nothing about but continue to whine about...

:lol: Hilarious! I've seen similar posts on girls hockey and passed on by, but no longer. Not that it'll matter of course but gonna say it anyway. Title 9 has done a lot for girls wanting to play male sports - its made them and their family members happy and that's about it. Anyone else interested should have their head examined. Think about the extra energy and $$ spent on arenas (eg Ridder), media/press, utilities, the list goes on and on. For what? To make the girls and their families happy I guess. Only in America! Sports for girls/women? Great. I think it's awesome. But hockey? Nope. Do the sport a favor and encourge your little girl to take up another sport. :)

J Carlson:
I was just wondering if you practice being a sexist idiot or if this is a natural born talent. There has been a lot of crap posted on here over the years, but nothing matches the sheer stupidity of your posts What is so sacrosanct about hockey that it cannot be "tainted" by girls playing? Girls and women can excel at basketball, tennis, golf and other sports, so why can't they excel at hockey too? Do us all a favor keep your ignorant opinions to yourself.
