Did you expect anything less from Edina parents?scorekeeper wrote:I know. They rarely dointhestands wrote:Sorry, my point had nothing to do wtih hockey whatsoever. As usual, you offer nothing more than an ad hominem attempt to change the subject
You're wasting your time Keeper. This type of stuff is commonlace in Hornet land. They expect those calls because they get them all the way up. Not just on the ice, but ss inthestands says, in life as well. Born with a silver spoon in their mouths ...

LOL. Jefferson just about drowned your bumble-bugs in SSC Kool-Aid. As I recall, Prior Lake had you choking on it to.green4 wrote:have a nice night and keep drinking your SSC kool-aid
I got a hunch Burnsville does the big SSC Kool-Aid jug "OH-YAH" and comes crashing through the walls of your ivory tower on Wednesday.
I don't think the refs and goal judges at Marriucci will be as accommodating as the Braemar guys.

Finley Foto, please bring your camera!
Look where the goalie's glove is...scorekeeper wrote:In picture 219 the puck is resting on its side ON THE GOAL LINE (not over the goal line) and up against the goal post.starmvp wrote:If you look at picture 219 and then picture 221... It has to be a goal... Just look at it.
In picture 221 the goaltender freezes it there.
No goal. Clear and decisive from the pictures.
I am not saying it was clear and decisive for the referees. It wasn't. That was obvious from the shmozzle. He initially correctly called no-goal and then they talked themselves into it being a goal.
I agree they couldn't have known better and realize they didn't have access to this freeze frame evidence, but it doesn't change the fact that it was not a goal and it was counted as one. That's unfortunate for Jefferson that it was called incorrectly.
No slam on the refs. Just an incorrect call. Happens all the time. Unfortunate, but we move on.
The far stinkier call, IMO, is the no-goal on Jefferson. That one is more typical of the homer officiating for Edina teams at Braemar.
Why is everyone still complaining about Jefferson's no goal. I was right there and the Jefferson player clearly ran into the goalie as the shot was being taken.
Edina was clearly the better team all game they pass great and deserved to win lets just be grateful that they're the team we get to watch going forward

doesnt look like interfearance from the photos ...puckhead13 wrote:Finley Foto has photos #123 -#126 of the disallowed Jefferson goal. Lost in drama of Edina's phantom goal was the fact that the ref called "in the crease" and disallowed this Jefferson goal.

I have. Where is the puck is the question. Not one photo shows its in the net, and the ref didn't know where it was and called it a no-goal.starmvp wrote:Look where the goalie's glove is...
The goal judge apparently said he saw it hit the twine, which it clearly did not. So if that's what the ref is going on, in hindsight - and with benefit of these photos, he got it wrong.
Not the end of the world (end of the season for Jefferson players), but it appears he did get it wrong and it happened to be a costly error favoring the Hornets at the expense of the Jaguars.
I'm not saying Edina would have lost. I'm not saying Jefferson would have won. I'm not saying the refs were bad refs. I'm not saying I would have done a better job.
Simply saying, it appears in this case a wrong call cost the Jaguars. That's it. That's all.
This one looks like an honest mistake.
The no-goal on the other end is more head-shaking than the Edina goal allowed, but photos might not pick up contact, so there is nothing really to talk about.
Sometimes when it rains it pours and it looks like the Jags got caught in a storm.

Judging by D3ref, you must live in Edina with a silver spoon in your mouth while drinking kool aid..The51 wrote:Why is everyone still complaining about Jefferson's no goal. I was right there and the Jefferson player clearly ran into the goalie as the shot was being taken.

Let's just wait for the next close game, by any two teams, and let the message board games begin..
Better yet, we can use excellent photo's that prove either sides point.
Really ITS? You had to use the message board for this? Why not just walk across the street and give him this message in person.inthestands wrote:Judging by D3ref, you must live in Edina with a silver spoon in your mouth while drinking kool aid...The51 wrote:Why is everyone still complaining about Jefferson's no goal. I hate to tell you that you're a bit off on geography and economics. Now if you put a 75 mile raduis around Edina, that would close in on it.D3Referee wrote:Really ITS? As for the rest, your kool aid speech got old in the last 3 threads you used it in... Do you bring kool aid to games you work for the coaches?

nope, not from Edina. I actually have no affiliation with any school, just a hockey fan who likes watching good games.
But I'll take it from your post that you disagree with me about Edina being the better team?

No, I apologize for not putting the "sarcasm" sign after my post.The51 wrote:inthestands wrote:Judging by D3ref, you must live in Edina with a silver spoon in your mouth while drinking kool aid..The51 wrote:Why is everyone still complaining about Jefferson's no goal. I was mostly disagreeing with a couple of other posters that had you and I pegged as Edina parents with silver spoons.. Incorrect on both counts I see..
Can't the two of you just meet at 50th and France and settle this like gentlemen? May I suggest a silver spoon duel to the death?The51 wrote:inthestands wrote:Judging by D3ref, you must live in Edina with a silver spoon in your mouth while drinking kool aid..The51 wrote:Why is everyone still complaining about Jefferson's no goal. Oh I see, my mistake I didn't catch this. Either way I find it interesting no one has stepped up to say that I'm wrong. Why such hostility towards Edina?inthestands wrote:No, I apologize for not putting the "sarcasm" sign after my post.The51 wrote:inthestands wrote: Judging by D3ref, you must live in Edina with a silver spoon in your mouth while drinking kool aid..

I haven't seen anybody say that you are wrong. Nobody has said that Edina didn't play a good game and I don't think anybody said Edina didn't deserve to win.The51 wrote:I find it interesting no one has stepped up to say that I'm wrong. Why such hostility towards Edina?
I don't even think there is any hostility towards Edina.
The real question is, why are Edina folks getting so defensive when it is crystal clear that they got the benefit of an erroneous call which aided them in winning the game.
Not sure why Edina folks keep defending the indefensible instead of just saying; "Yah, we got a free one there. Strong play and a little luck got us past Jefferson. Better luck next time."
Instead they get all hostile and launch personal attacks on posters making simple observations of crystal clear photography.
Most of us don't give a hoot, but are always amused at the arrogance and sheer sense of entitlement (photographic evidence be damned) of the Cake Eaters.
Congrats to the Hornets. Karma's a bee-sting!
well I can't speak for them, seeing as how I am not from Edina. But I agree they did get a break in that being called a goal. The only point I'm trying to make is it might have been a break they deserved after how much they had outplayed Jefferson in the game.D3Referee wrote:I haven't seen anybody say that you are wrong. Well the officiating crew and goal judge certainly agree with you and that's all that matters.The51 wrote: I agree they did get a break in that being called a goal. The only point I'm trying to make is it might have been a break they deserved
Perhaps that speaks to the entitlement culture and perhaps it's that sentiment which ruffles a few feathers. The rest of us have to ACTUALLY PUT THE PUCK IN THE NET, and even then (as Jefferson also found out in this game) it doesn't always count
