YHH: Squirt Player of the Year Finalists

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

Here is a list of the five Wiz Wyatt Player of the Year finalists for the Squirts. We put a ton of time, thought and effort into these selections. There are at least 10 more deserving kids, narrowing to five was very hard.

Enjoy,

We saw almost all of the top 30 or so SQA teams in the state, this year. We are a very proud of the five that we chose on this list. In all of the games we saw and all of the goalies we saw, we didn't think there was a goalie deserving of the top 5.

The Warroad kid is the top player in the state and the best squirt player I have seen in years. The maturity with which he plays the game is so far beyond the other finalists it's not even close. This kid took a group of players that wouldn't win 5 games all year without him and led them to 5 wins in the squirt international tournament and a consolation championship in the top bracket.

If we are going to start having players of the year at the squirt level than why can't squirts have standings, regionals and state tournaments? Seems to contradict itself.

I would have responded earlier, but the insane asylum wouldn't let me out until noon today. They said I could come out as long as I promise not to write about mite hockey next year...so far so good. One hour and I haven't had one urge yet to write about the MPLS Rangers or the Edina Mighty Ducks.

Glad I got out, cuz there is going to be some great hockey this weekend...Squirts thru Bantams.

YHH has brought squirt hockey to a whole new level of excitement!!!! These kids love it and are having FUN with all the rankings, the now scores, featured players of the week and everything in between..

Most of these kids on the top teams have played 250+ full ice games in their short careers and they would all love to have a chance to play in a state squirt tournament through MN hockey but they don't offer one. YHH is offering something similar and everyone playing is excited!!!

Great Job YHH!!!!!

MrBoDangles.... If he was my little bear our team would be a lot more successful then we were! I already offered his family a job in our town but apparently his mom is a Marvin so no luck.
