Video: Hill player offers keen insight about why Edina won

Post by Sartellcelly »

Hill's Willie Brown, without being asked, offered a telling explanation for why Edina prevailed during the post-game news conference. Other players and the two coaches also field questions:

Like Lech said Hill ended up 27-3-1 and they also beat all the teams they lost to (STA, Edina, Wayzata) so hats off to them...

Interesting choices for press conference, Senior Captains Lavalle and Dugas were obvious and the only other player was JR Brown, not Slattery, French or Becker etc, so I think Lechner was sending a subtle message in that i.e. He's the leader next year and also played as well as anyone on the ice in the Finals..

Hill returns 5/6 on 1st 2 lines and Lavalle wasn't that great this year aka Guentzel and Ben Bahe in previous couple years, so they should be fine depending if Slattery or Brown opt for the Juniors.. Goalie will be interesting as we were spoiled with Dugas the last 2 years.... Reload & Fire.

Hill's #1 goalie next year is a transfer student who is currently attending HM, but didn't play high school hockey. He will miss the first month of the season then take over from there. Goalie issues will not be a concern.

Oh that's right, High School hockey teams are made up of of that school's students. And in the Grand Old USA with the freedoms we enjoy, parents and families get to decide why and where to send kids to school.
