I heard that they had a pretty good turnout. Do you know if they are done now or will there be a spring tryout as well?MrBoDangles wrote:O3's Looking VERY good!HockeyDad41 wrote:Tryouts are over; did your team go from "pretty" to "very"?MrBoDangles wrote: "pretty" to VERY...
01's will be improved.
00's will be much improved
Don't know about the other levels

I believe there were close to 300 skaters at all of the tryouts combined. (8 Levels)HockeyDad41 wrote:I heard that they had a pretty good turnout. Just sayin... Never called it a money grab. They had to have made some though with the number of kids? Right?..MrBoDangles wrote:3hrs of ice for $25 is hard to come by.MNM JMH wrote:talk about making money ...
300 kids @ 25.00 = $7500.00 Hope That HOPE OF THE NORTH will be sporting some new sweaters next year.
3HRS @ 8.33(3) = $25
Jackets included from what I hear. Could you imagine a money grab outfit doing that?

I suspect that returning players probably didn't have to pay the fee.MNM JMH wrote:Just sayin... Never called it a money grab. They had to have made some though with the number of kids? Right?..MrBoDangles wrote:3hrs of ice for $25 is hard to come by.MNM JMH wrote:talk about making money ...

MG, Blades, Legecy, MN
Why are kids leaving MADE to go to Blades? Why are kids leaving Blades to go to MG? This is crazy --- what are we thinking about.
What programs are better for South Metro kids or North Metro? I also heaer Legency this and that.......but looking at tournaments this yr, they didnt do anything. Reebok Nats - did though in all levels. How about MG teams.......
Someone give me a great advice --- what is the best program for 04, 03 and 02's for the bang of the buck?

GOWILD- you should check out the posting from the past that ranks the top programs in the metro. I know for the 2003 level, Blades will be the team to beat and the reason that kids leave the Made for the Blades is because of the Brick. As far as kids leaving Blades to go to MG....Come on?!?!?!? Legacy has kept majority of their team intact and added some nice pieces to it. They have added kids from the Blades, Made and other programs. Made seems to be on the way down with the 03 and 04 team.gowild5555 wrote:Why are kids leaving MADE to go to Blades? Why are kids leaving Blades to go to MG? Drive to the Gold
We live 10 minutes from Edina. We drive 45 minutes to get to Blaine (with some practices smack in the middle of rush hour. ACK.)
We made a conscious choice in picking the Gold for our kid after looking at all options. The Gold IS the future!
BTW...we'll figure in gas costs as just another hockey "fee"

It is only a matter of time when you will say to yourself, "what were we thinking driving up to Blaine so my mite/squirt can play hockey. Boy were we dumb".legalbeagle05 wrote:We live 10 minutes from Edina. We drive 45 minutes to get to Blaine (with some practices smack in the middle of rush hour. ACK.)

Miracle Gold AAA kicks off the 2013 season on Sunday, March 24. I would like to welcome our 375 players and their families to the official AAA program of the National Sports Center and Schwan Super Rink.
The kind of access to top facilities and training can not be matched by any other program in this state from 1996's to 2006's.

Yeah right, at least they have 3 shoe shine stands on the end cap though! Must be for the practice players.barry_mcconnell wrote:Benches look uncomfortable.HB Miracle GOLD wrote:Miracle Gold AAA kicks off the 2013 season on Sunday, March 24. LOL good one Barry!! If you look real close you can see there is a top that closes to turn the storage area into a bench!barry_mcconnell wrote:Benches look uncomfortable.HB Miracle GOLD wrote:Miracle Gold AAA kicks off the 2013 season on Sunday, March 24. Will the MG4's follow the footsteps of the MG3's that occupied the same locker room last summer?

The really elite teams don't need benches. They should be doing squats while they put their gear on to help build explosive speed!helightsthelamp wrote:LOL good one Barry!! And you don't even want to see the MG restrooms.

I was looking at the lineup for the Meltdown tournament. It occurs to me: Does the "Hope of the North" have a single team playing in the invite tournament? If they do, I missed it. This is an elite program playing in elite tournaments? What a joke. Maybe MG could put their trophy case on line so we could all enjoy all their "Open" trophies.
