What is the skinny on Breakaway Academy. They are having an open house tonight in Chaska. Is this another Northern Educate?

I'm working on a story with them right now...I'd say it will be done in a week or so.

Short version is it is run by Dave Snuggerud and Andy Brink, two former Gopher standouts. Dave is running the scholastic part...and am pretty sure Andy is running the hockey.

Knowing them, my guess is they won't be having their kids on the ice 480 hours...just a hunch.

Interesting - I was wondering why Mn folks were letting Canucks {Woodcroft/Yuro] Come into our backyard and be the only gig in town. I respect both Craig and Steve, but part of me likes to see Mn kids like Snugg/Brink getting after it as well. This should get interesting over the next 10 years !!!

Leave it to you OG, pulling out the race card!! Don't piss them canadians off, there will be a curling academy before you know it!! I'm glad 2boys1girl says its better than NE!! It's a bumpy road, hope they can grind it out!! Must stay positive and expect much speculation!!

Tuition is a big number but Snuggy is a class act and very good teacher both on the ice and off. Interesting to see how this will evolve in comparison to NE.

My son will be attending Breakaway Academy this fall. We chose Breakaway Academy because there will be certified teachers teaching the classes - not online learning. For the money we felt the structure provided at BA was better for our son with the similar amount of hockey training.
