PCI Park City Ice Hockey Invitational

Post by livinthedream »

Has anyone attended or does anyone know anything about this? This is taken from their website - wondering if the invite we received is an actual invite, or if it is a mass email sent out to fill the camp rosters? Here's what is on their website:

Future Sports Stars, Inc. (FSS) will be inviting 64 of the nation’s best 1996 AAA players to attend the Park City Invitational Camp at NO COST to the player and their family. Each of the invitees will have been nominated for camp inclusion by one of the nation’s Junior program recruiters. This process guarantees each player exposure to teams already interested in them.

Recruiters across the country are being asked to visit this website and submit a short list of players they’d like to see prior to the start of the 2013/14 hockey season; players they previously evaluated but hadn’t yet committed to. Due to the limited number of players, each recruiter is being asked to rank their list of nominees in order of preference so that they are able to observe their most sought after prospects.

In addition to assembling the most talented group of hockey players still available, our selection process provides recruiters with a regionally diverse group of prospects, thus giving them an opportunity to see players they wouldn’t normally have the chance to see. Conversely, these elite hockey players are being given the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of a large group of recruiters they wouldn’t normally have access to either. The Park City Invitational provides recruiters with another opportunity to observe these players prior to finalizing team rosters and/or making future commitments.

Now that the USHL draft is over, we need all remaining player nominations submitted as we will be reviewing the list of nominees to finalize the camp roster in the coming weeks.

During this intense, week long camp, attendees will have the opportunity to observe each player participating in 2.5 hours of daily on-ice training, and have the chance to watch them train off-ice with some of the nation’s most respected fitness instructors.

As always, thanks in advance for any light you can shed on the subject!

Sounds like a great way to get in front of a ton of pay-to-play Junior programs. Park City is a great place to visit.
Be kind. Rewind.
