Rumor has it Chase Perry is leaving Andover for juniors. Interesting how his MSHSL employed father handles that at the board meetings??

Ultimately, isn't it the kids choice and then the parents job to support their son's decision? Obviously they can voice their concerns but if a kid truely wants to do that why not?

I do like how you want to stir the pot since he is part of the MSHSL.

does this surprise anyone? seems to be a history and/or pattern of this. it does him no good to go to Jr's unless he wins the starting position. If he is a starter then hard to blame him - Andover is guaranteed only 26 games.

It's always amusing to read about this issue and some talk about the kid being selfish etc. as well.. It's strange that for the gifted academic kids who start taking college classes early or enroll completely at a program of even higher learning to improve themselves, you never hear anything but positive feedback. So, if you are one of those on the negative side with respect to HS hockey players, at least realize that your emotions are all about selfishness.

A lot depends on what league he is going to. Mn isn't know for producing top end goaltenders, especially high school. Maybe he is looking to improve himself against stronger competition and a longer season. Who cares were his father works!
