Best Top End Talent/Line in the State? Discussion/ Poll **

Post by Granttenn »

Last year we had an interesting discussion on this though it was pretty much Besse, Moore & Labosky and then everyone else battling for 2nd. This year is a little more balanced. Of course these are 'potential' 1st lines as you never know how things will play out.

My vote goes to Hill Murray's potential 1st line of Slattery, Willie Brown, & Joey Anderson. All three were drafted in the USHL Draft in June and Anderson has already committed to UMD as 9th grader. Both Brown & Slattery were mentioned in guru Karl East's Top 10 (& 3 alternates) for Mr Hockey 2014 so that weighs heavy with me as well. Anybody top that pick?

Burnsville should also have a nice top line with Sheehy & Borchardt, Boeser. Finally an interesting section 2AA this year as Edina has Malmquist, Fidler, & Munson.

St Thomas could have best underclassman line with Jr's Novak, Versich & Broetzman.

Wayzata has nice young talent w/ Freytag, Zimmer & whoever - so they should be up there as well.

And of course Blaine with Tyler Cline and the boys will be tough.

How's the North Looking

NP, most productive lines without defense mentioned; before the season starts where you don't even know what the lines are; Sheehey won't get much ice time on that line. I think you get my point; change your title to poll: two or three forwards on a team (maybe not best or playing together during the season); or wait until the puck is dropped in November. I thought it was just a littler early to conduct such a poll. Sorry to poop on your thread. GB

Thanks for the truly constructive criticism that time. With a few dry weeks until the Elite League starts, I was just throwing something out there for discussion & to aid whatever the opposite of cabin fever is? Zamboni chills?.... Last year, a large contingent were buzzing about BSM's big 3 in the pre-season, & I was just thinking about what possible power lines are out there this year (or who has best top end talent)... I can see your point though.

Jack Sorensen, Matthew Freytag, and Chad Olson will be most likely be a line for Wayzata.
