A Gem of a Summer Tourney

Post by frederick61 »

I had an opportunity to watch a 2000 summer hockey tourney put on by the Ice Edge as part of their summer hockey program. It was a nice tourney in a nice location. The post can be read at:

After the games we walked across the street and hopped on the mountain bikes and hit the trails for a couple hours. We hit Vi's pizza one night and Giant's Ridge Lodge another night. What Freddie writes about it being a different tournament is right in that your not just at the rink, you're at a tourney +.

Had a great time at the 2000 Hockey Hall of Fame tournament

It was a great tournament, nothing fancy, pretty laid back but still very competitive and very enjoyable. My son played on the 3rd place 'pick-up' Iron Range Moose team that introduced themselves to each other in the locker room before the game! They had a great time, made some new friends and it was so nice to have a AAA tourney so close to home! Thanks for the great article!
