The men you mention as owners are not involved in this league.

All serious inquiries about our league can be directed via email bantamelite at gmail dot com.

Zach and AJ have nothing to do with this league

hockeydad11 wrote:This will be a very average league. If it even gets going! It is just the Iceman guys (AJ and Zach) trying to play off like they are part of the High School Elite League. That's why they never said who they were. Ha!

Just try to put a few more dollars in their pockets.

If they were involved I would be pleased to have them coach my son.
If they are not, I will still happily allow my son to participate. Sounds like a nice opportunity.

I sent the guy a note yesterday. He was prompt in getting back to me. Seems like they have their act together.

These teams should play the Wisconsin U14 team or teams.

As of this morning our tryout is full.

We really appreciate the interest in our league. We have kids from all over MN, kids from Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota signed up.

Stay tuned for team, uniform and coaching announcements in early October.

Invited players have until September 16 to accept their invitation. Invited players will be asked to attend a meeting in October to meet their coaches and teammates, get sized for apparel, uniforms and have their photos taken for their player profile.

Looks like a great league and a great idea. I'm guessing you would complain if they hung you with an old rope!

We received 11 new commitments today to the League and have fielded several inquiries from several more Invited player parents. We are now at 52 committed (of 80) with 3 weeks until the cutoff date.

Just a little plug for the guys running this league. They seem committed to giving able players an opportunity to play at a higher level regardless of where they are from. I recommended a player I had seen to them from an out state area of MN that probably had no clue about these opportunities (no not my son or any relation to me, but a good kid deserving of an opportunity he doesn't get at home) and they took the time to contact him personally and invite him to their tryouts. I know alot of the players on the invite list and it looks like a legit high end league, not average at all but also giving some high end outstate players an opportunity to get in themix with the 'known " commodities of the metro area is a good thing in my eyes. I hope it lives up to the initial idea and is a good thing for the players, seems like it is so far.

We made it out to the tryouts this weekend. The tryout was run really well. A lot of high end skaters and goalies.

Here is a story, including a little nugget we heard while in one of the locker room speeches by Tom Chorske. I bolded the speech in the story. It is a must read.

Many thanks to our 14 Evaluators, including goalie groups from both Pro Hybrid (Evals) and Stauber (Scrimmages).

Visit our site to see the final 15 we added to the league through the tryout process.

I am left scratching my head at some of the names and searching for all the ones that are missing. There are some names that flat out make no sense to me. Just my opinion. Is this another Reebok HP type deal? I do realize it's different.

Maybe some of them didn't want to participate... OR maybe some of the "names" you think should be on there are just not as good as you thought or maybe some of the kids have passed them up. This age group is when huge physical and mental developmental things happen to these kids, I know one kid who played last year and was an average to small sized kid with average skills, who this fall is now 5' 10" and a physical speciment who can just impose his will on the ice now.... you'd have never pegged him one year ago but now you cannot ignore him.... just saying things change, these kids aren't squirts anymore

Goofy?

Post by redtundra »

I'm curious who the Goof thinks are the "head scratchers"?? Having a son in this age group (who is not in the league BTW), this league is a Who's Who of the top players. I am impressed with the breadth of the league - not just a bunch of kids from the biggest programs but some real good players from smaller programs too.

Our team rosters were just announced on our Twitter feed this afternoon. They can be found twitter.com/bantamelite.

Full rosters will be posted Thursday to our site including 7 alternates to an Alternate pool. Those players are not required to pay a fee, but will take part in pre-season camp and all will likely see a game or two of action next Summer.

Metro Teams now posted on-line. They all look pretty solid to me. Looking forward to the Northern team (Rangers) roster as well. I would guess they may be the strongest team knowing the names they were contemplating.
