Bantam A: who could take a surprise run at a state title?
Interested to see what anyone thinks on this.. Is there a smaller school that has both A and AA that can come out on top of the bigger schools' top teams this year, like Andover, Cottage Grove or Rogers?

your fishing pretty hard for your team aren't youbetterupnorth wrote:Edina is always a contender, whatever level you look at. The teams the would be a surprise would be teams from smaller schools with a AA team as welledgeless2 wrote:Edina A is a complete AA team in about 97% of any other association.

You have to love this forum. The guy who started the thread was looking for surprise BA contenders. The next 2 posts are about Edina, so he wants to steer his thread back to "surprise" teams. Maybe he's fishing, maybe not-BIG DEAL. I'm pretty sure his reasons for starting this thread wasn't to discuss how the Edina BA team was going to sneak into the State Tourney again.your fishing pretty hard for your team aren't you
Let me contribute a few smaller programs: Sibley and Orono,-from the Metro. Thief River Falls from the North, although I base this on watching them last year. Andover? No idea about them.
Hopkins had a solid BA team last year, how many returners do they have?

I love this forum too where people don't read. Sorry your entries don't count ... he wants only teams from smaller schools that have both and AA and A team.@hockeytweet wrote:You have to love this forum. After the quarter pole of the season and seeing many good teams I have been able to look at this from a different angle. I do not think Edina is a runaway favorite. They have been one of the best teams I've seen but could be beaten by, in no particular order. Mahtomedi, Mankato, Mound Westonka(What's up with the M's), and Orono. Not sure if any qualify as surprises with none of the assoc. Having a AA team. I was most impressed with Mankato, pretty complete squad.edgeless2 wrote:My only point on Edina is that it will most likely prevent any surprise run to the title in Bantam A. I have no problem with the fishing expedition.
