interested to see hutch football team take the ice on sat
I am sure 3A will be happy to see them back. I expect he is getting a little tired of the beating he has taken on this board lately and will welcome the chance to gloat a little bit.

My prediction tonight is New Ulm will take it to Marshall, 7-1. I think this battle will be between Campion and the New Ulm forwards. If New Ulm comes out the gate strong, Marshall is going to have another long night. Does anyone know if this game will be streamed online at all? Or a radio station?

I predict New Ulm 5-3 Marshall.

Willmar takes out Fergus Falls, Luverne beats Redwood, and new ulm takes care of business against Marshall. A little closer than most of us thought though. Can't wait to see how they match up against hutch, and how the Litchfield and Luverne game goes!

Interesting game witnessed in New Ulm tonight.

New Ulm carried the play through the first two periods but really struggled to solve Campion completely. Marshall definately had a better jump in their step tonight then they did on Tuesday night.

Then the third period it was weird almost as if New Ulm was satisfied with the 4 to 0 lead. They really played flat and uninspired puck. Let Marshall get one and also really let Marshall play with them.

New Ulm did take care of business though and seal up a solid 4 to 1 win just was surprised by the lack of effort in the third.

Other 3A News
Luverne upended Redwood 8 to 0
Windom pounded Worthington 9 to 1

BIG ONE TONIGHT Willmar upends Fergus Falls 3 to 2 ... Willmar is really looking strong early in 3A

All play against each other in Litch on Saturday. Im guessing they will split.

Are you saying that the boys and girls will split? Such is the way of high school romances.

Believe it or not, but Malaysia has an ice hockey team. There are two malls in the capital of Kuala Lumpur that have indoor ice rinks. (I have skated on one of them. Horrible ice.) And Malaysia put together a national team that goes and plays up in Northeast Asia: Korea, Japan, and even Thailand. It's a joke, I'm sure. But the important thing to them is that they get to DRESS UP like hockey players!

What happened Lord Setterholm?

Down 5-1 to St. Peter before scoring a few meaningless goals in the end?

Talk about ten steps backwards!!!!

Really ugly game tonight in New Ulm as St. Peter beats them 5 to 3. New Ulm doesnt really lose conference games so this was a surprise. Lucky for them its early, and can make a big statement next week @Hutch

They better get used to losing conference games now that they have to take 10 more steps back and play Luverne on their schedule in the SWC! HAHAHAH

Two big games today

Hutch vs Marshall
This should be interesting to look at Hutch how are their legs after football. I think you will see Hutch really take over in this one. Cowger and Adams will be too much for Marshall
Hutch 6 Marshall 2

Luverne vs LDC
Should be a very good game as well. LDC is playing well having won three in a row at home. LONG bus ride after a long week for Luverne. I think LDC comes out flying and handles the cards in this one.
LDC 4 Luverne 1

Two very Big Early 3A Matchups HUGE for SEEDING[/i]

I see Hutch taking care of Marshall 9-2 and Luverne taking care of LDC 5-2.

LDC over evil empire 4-2. Marshall 3-2 over Hutch as long as Marshall's goalie plays like he can. If not Hutch 6-1.

The Hutch Hackers downed Marshall 4-1 this afternoon. Hutchinson has one good line that Marshall could not match up with, but lines 2 and 3 played the Hacker's 2nd and 3rd lines evenly.

Matthew Cowger centers a line with Tory Adams and Shane Collings, and they were good. I left with the score 3-1 and Cowger (2g) and Adams were the goal scorers to that point. I remember Cowger's name from two years back, as he was playing varsity even as a freshman.

The refs called a very uneven game although I would not blame them for Marshall's loss. Everything was fine, until Marshall tied the game at 1-1 in the middle of the second period, and then the Hutch players started in with lots of elbows and interferences, and finally a GIGANTIC boarding that the refs pretended not to see. The period deteriorated at that point, and both squads ended up with 5-minute penalties/10 minute game mis-conducts. Still, the calling was very inconsistent with Hutch getting away with a lot of interferences.

IF the refereeing is consistent, and even, Luverne will knock Hutchinson silly. Luverne has much better talent in its first two lines than Hutch does. Maybe the Cowger line does play Luverne's first line even, but Luverne's second line (Norman at center) will be better than Hutch's.

This is the first time that I have seen Hutchinson play, and I was NOT impressed. Yes, their first line is good, much better than Marshall's, but I do not like the football-player-on-skates type of play.

Made the trek over to Marshall this afternoon to see which Tigers would prevail. From what I saw: Marshall has one solid D(13), the refs weren't watching the same game I was, and Campion prevented it from being a much worse score. Marshall is looking like the LEAST physical team in the state, they don't touch anyone until they realize there's 30 seconds left in the game.

From the other side, Hutch has fast forwards and is really strong in the Defensive zone with a weak goalie. One heck of a breakout system they have. Hutch is physical, smart, and has some goal scorers. I see them as #2 in the section behind a dominant Luverne team.

Left a little early but was 3-1 with a few minutes left.
