East Grand Forks vs Breck
The small town boyus spent the night in the cities, a big win over a metro team, and now the private school #1 team....
Breck would love to beat the team everyone is talking about...

Nice win for Breck..!

Anyone at these games - Look like they were some good battles:

1.Tonka vs Moorehead game. Moorhead wins 4-3

2. Burnsville vs Eagan game. Burnsville wins 3-1

Yes, I was at the Moorhead/Tonka game. Tonka had a 2-0 lead going into the 3rd period. The Spuds scored less than a minute into the 3rd on a slapper from the blue line that the goalie got a piece of but it fell in behind him. Later in the 3rd, Tonka got called for a 5-minute boarding penalty (Tonka player was DQ'd), but the Spuds never scored on the power play.

Tonka made it 3-1 right after the penalty expired and I thought it was over at that point. Tonka had all the momentum (or so I thought) after killing off the penalty and then scoring. The Spuds scored just a few minutes later to make it 3-2.

Then it got really interesting. Tonka took a penalty with 2:27 to go and the Spuds scored to tie it up with 1:23 left. Then they got the game winner with just :03 left. We saw some of the Tonka players after the game as they were walking out of the building. Some very unhappy faces. I can't blame them. They outplayed the Spuds for 2 1/2 periods and still lost.

Was at Burnsville Eagan. Burnsville really dominated this game. Their first line with Boeser and Borchardt is excellent. After that, they don't have a whole lot of depth. They have 3 dman Dockry, Ahcan-really like this kids game and Sawchuk who seem to be solid. Again, I think their issue will be depth. Lindgren played a good game in goal for Eagan. Eagan didn't have Wolff, (not sure why) but definitely missed his physical presence. Both teams well coached, its early, we will see what happens with both.
