Absolutely not. Obviously, things worked out great for them, which only goes to show that they each made the right choice.
That said, let's just pretend for a minute that Warroad was a private school. Would most here feel differently about their decision to attend Warroad and try to become better players?
Private, public, anything in between.
Don't care for "hockey" moves myself, at the HS level. At all.
Let's put one thing to rest and quit beating a dead horse. Does Warroad recruit players both on the boy's side and girl's side, of course they do. Everyone who follows high school hockey knows this. Warroad has recruited far more talent than their youth programs have developed in the last 20 years. Warroad people, quit being defensive about it and others quit whining about it. It is the way it is. The Warroad community, for the most part has embraced it, unless you are one of the families who have worked the concession stand since 8U and mites and your kid gets bumped around bantams or 14U, for one of the move ins. Congrats to the UMD commitments, best of luck the rest of the year and in college. Please attend at least one class reunion after high school though!

You seem to contradict yourself from the get go bud before rattling off years worth of message board arguments all into one.
Two very good hockey players, UMD is lucky to get the package. Although the head coach connection to the Dog may have played a part, it is a little odd to see Warroad players commit somewhere other than UND for a change. Hopefully now they can lead Warroad back to the X for the next two years!
