BSM 1, Tonka 0 after one.

The video quality is disappointing, but it's better than nothing. 8)

Tonka storms back to take a 3-1 lead, after two. BSM is outchancing the Skippers, but Berger has made many terrific saves.

Kolar scores at 14:06 of the 3rd to put East up 3-0. Revenge for last season's loss appears certain.

4-1 Final Tonka over Benilde.

Shots were in favor of BSM 37-20
Berger Played great for tonka who get back up to .500
Benilde was definitely had more chances but Tonka only gave BSM one Powerplay all game and played smart defensively while they capitalized on there chances which usually came after a benilde offensive fury that Berger would shut down.
You could see that it was a frustrating game for BSM as they were out chancing them. You could see it after the 3rd goal for sure in the benilde players. A lot of big hits in a physical game. I have watched tonka a couple of times and they kind of play that sort of style.

Minnetonka is now at 7-7 and I think they are being underrated. I have watched them 3 times when they played STA, Hill and now BSM and I think they are a team that can beat anyone honestly. I would place them right around the 15-17 mark in the rankings.
They are a young inexperienced team but they are getting better and better.
Only 2 bad losses I would say. the 1-0 game to Stillwater and the 3-0 loss to Jefferson but the Jefferson game was early on in the year and Jefferson does have a good goaltender. I don't know much about stillwater so I can't say much there.
Other losses included 1-4 to STA, 1-2 to Holy Family, 3-5 to Hill, 0-3 To Burnsville and then 3-4 to Moorhead but I remember hearing one of the Moorhead fans saying Tonka outplayed them.
They do have wins over Lakeville North, Prior lake and BSM now.
Playing in the Lake conference they will have the chance to beat some of the higher ranked teams which I think they can do.

Looked like East had a bit of a hangover from the Rapids game in the first period, but they slowly got better. Got the job done in the end, and restored the natural order of things in Duluth hockey.

This was probably the best I've seen a Denfeld team skate with East, though. (Last year's win and the occasional close games have usually involved an East shooting gallery and Denfeld packing it in and playing defense, then maybe springing a few breakaways.) There's not a whole lot of skill there, but they're deep for a Class A team and they work hard and forecheck well. They could give the top two some problems in 7A.

Ouch!!!
Good first period, a couple of d breakdowns and a couple of flukey goal and jacks down by 5.

After that it got even uglier.

Yon is a player.

My wife leans over and says, 'wow he is fun to watch.'

I had to remind her he plays for the other team.

Hey Elliot,

The Hub is no help.

Can you find out how the Green Wave did against Grand Forks Central?

Also, by the way, I said if EGF beats Blaine I'll buy you a beer in Bemidji on Thursday when the Green Wave show up.

So, if I can get there, I'll have to find ya.

West 4
Century 1

West outshot Century46-15, only really good goaltending and some bad luck kept it from being a lot worse.
