Section 8AA Semi Final Preview January 30th?
With Brainerd traveling to Moorhead to play the Spuds on January 30th and Bemidji heading north to Roseau to face off against the Rams this could be a preview of our Section Semi Final matchups come late Feb.
With Roseau a lock on the 1st seed here is how i see it unfolding.....
Spuds win at home against the Warriors 3-1 en hopefully this game will have less brawling. (pervious meeting Spuds won in Brainerd 4-2 with a game ending in a brawl)
Roseau wins at home against the Lumberjacks 4-0 outshooting Jacks 35-12 (pervious meeting Roseau demolished the Jacks on their home ice 8-1)
Section seeding
Roseau
Moorhead
Brainerd
Bemidji

Thats Mr. Potatohead to you!
I see Roseau beating the Jacks again but only by 1 or 2.
The Jacks should have several of their players at full strength this time as the flu bug has past and injuries are healed.
Come play-offs it may be another story.
I see the Jacks and Spuds in the final and this time the Jacks prevail in OT 3-2.
Its fun just to dream.

Brainerd vs Moorhead
I have been told both ADs from Moorhead and Brainerd as well as both coaches were warned by the Refs on the game tonight that penalties will be called often and benches will empty if they choose to play it rough. Should be a good game!
Thats Mr. Potatohead to you!

He played the first game of the year.wayfncold wrote:Sort of off subject. Where is Heifort? I thought he would be Bemidjis #1 tender
Got in some trouble and has sat for a while.
Now playing in some JV games.
Theraldson and Attaberry are as good as Heifort, at least in some opinions.
Bottom line is the three are pretty equal - the coaches hope the hot one is the one they are playing on any particular night.
AND don't break the rules if you want to play high school sports.
