Wayzata Trojans 24/7

Post by MegaMan »

CCM hockey and Rival Films are teaming up to do a "24/7" or sorts on the Wayzata Trojans. Pretty cool opportunity for the kids and the program.

Preview : http://m.youtube.com/watch?list=PLmsKJ0 ... ature=plpp

Episode 1: http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=yout ... 3Dyoutu.be

Don't know how long they will continue it, but 2 episodes come out per week.

Interesting timing for this release and exposure. Generally felt Wayzata flew below the radar. Hope this is not a Madden jinx of sorts as they were my 6AA pick to make it to the X. 8)

The favorite doesn't seem to make it out of that section too often. I guess Eden Prairie was the favorite in 2010 and 2011, but other than that I think the 1 seed didn't represent 6AA in the tournament.

Not sure Wayzata has been deemed the favorite with the #1 seed yet. Thankfully there is still a bit of hockey to be played in this short season we get from the MSHSL. Wayzata is just my pick to go. Defense wins championships, the goalie is solid and they have great depth that goes both ways. Regardless of the seed the Trojans get I do like them better than EP, BSM, Tonka or HF in 6AA.

EP didn't make it in 2010, not were they the favorite. Tonka was and ended up winning.

Looks like Trojans wear ccm pants and helmets, maybe that's why they are highlighted?
Players that don't have ccm skates or sticks might not get much on-ice camera time.

You're right, I just knew that team won the title twice, so it was 2009 that EP won it as well. So I guess 2009-2011 the top seed from Section 6 made it to the tournament.

Wayzata is one win away from locking up the 1 seed on Saturday against EP. If they lose, I think EP would have to win the Lake Conference to take the top spot.
