My advice is to double check the schedule before going to the arena. Tuesday is precinct caucus night, and by law public schools cannot have activities on this evening. I know that New Prague at Holy Angels was moved to Monday, Feb. 3. I don't know whether the law applies to private schools.

Eagan and CDH played last month because of the caucuses. Don't know if CDH could have played because it's a private school or not, but Eagan definitely couldn't.

As noted above, some games wil be played at 4:00 and, at least in the past, some games have been scheduled at 8:01 PM. The caucus law prohibits activities between 6:00 and 8:00.

that 8:01 happens in March with township election dates. I'm not sure if it is OK to do this on caucus night.

Umm, any of the caucuses being web streamed since the politicians mess with the hockey schedule? So much for a democracy and freedom I guess.

After 1 period
STA 4 Holy Family 1
Holy family taking a lot of penalties, at least 4
Shots are 10-7 in favor of STA
HF with some poor D so far. Giving up a lot of odd man rushes.

Anyone see the Totino over Benilde game? Had to be interesting.

Benilde with the first 4 goals and Totino with the next 6. A little Roo payback.

LaCombe, goalie for HF was left out to dry in that first period, the kid didn't have a chance

The 5 on 3, 2 x 2 on 0's...and the novak breakaway..It was a bad Defense turnover period for the Fire.. HF will need to shore that up, if they want to move on..
