Any streams anywhere?

Post by Ogie »

Unfortunately, I'm out of town working this spring and am wondering if any of the sections are going to be streamed anywhere.

Looks like I have missed a great second half of the season. This sucks! :(

Thanks, green.

If nothing else, I'll have to just listen.

Webstreams likely banned for any Thurs/Fri/Sat games that would conflict with prep45's pay-per-view webstream of the State High School Wrestling Tournament. I think Tues/Wed streams would be okay, though.

Unfortunate fact: Prep45 has set up paywalls for all of their tournament webstreams. It's gonna cost you $4.97/day if you want to watch the Tourney at work or home and can't get in front of a Minnesota television set. http://www.prep45.com/

How about Psbmn.com? They usually have video.

Only section 2 championship has live video. 6 is audio only because that section changed their rules. Section 4&5 are on a tape delay because prep 45 doesn't allow live video streams of other high school events while they are getting $5 a head when people watch the state tourney they are streaming.
Prep 45 streamed the championship games for sections 2,3,4,5&6 last year. Being a guy who moved to another state, that was awesome to be able to watch all of the section finals online. It's a shame they aren't doing that again this year. At least I'll be at the X in 9 days; hoping for another good tourney this year!

I remember prep45 or some other site streaming those section finals as well last year! It's a shame they don't allow other video streams during other high school events. The logic behind it is flawed. If there is no hockey streams and wrestling is on, I'm going to watch wrestling. False, I'll choose something else. OR I would even pay the $5 to catch the hockey games online. Luckily I am in the cities so I will be traveling to those section final games that I can in order to watch them. Was nice when I could catch them all on the computer.

Nice, as in convenient, but not nearly the same experience as actually being there.

True! Good point! There was a time when I didn't live in the cities and it was more than convenient. Now that I am, no problem going to the coliseum for the alma mater, nothing beats the atmosphere at the coliseum in late feb early march (I may be biased based on my allegiance). Going to miss that place. Don't mind heading to Mariucci arena this year. I think I'm more disappointed that section 7AA has been streamed the last couple of years but this year it won't be.
