The Jags looked absolutely star struck... Hardly any effort, losing foot race after foot race. Edina found out that the Jags were going to wrap the puck or high glass for a breakout and made them pay.

Hard to believe the Jags came out so flat, after a big win against B-Ville to advance them to this game.

Intimidated by Edina? As Herb Brooks would say (at least in Miracle) "They know they're going to win, and so do their opponents"

Nanne's hipcheck was a thing of beauty. Would have been nice to see Jefferson back at State.

I still don't get why they called it tripping. It was a textbook hip check, and looked just like the kind his coach used to deliver when he played for the North Stars. You could argue that it might have been interference, as it came after the Jefferson kid had the puck, but a "hip trip"?

Its funny, Giles must have had a practice on how to hip check because there has been multiple players using them this year. Malmquist had one also in the game yesterday and i've seen Nanne do it a few more times throughout the year.
I agree that I don't like the penalty being called as a trip. Interference would have been way more appropriate
