Good Luck Cards
I am calling EGF/Hermantown final but no reason why Luverne should not be considered for 3,4,5.. Be interesting to see how they seed them considering Luverne is undefeated and basically rolled through the section.

EGF hermantown final seems inevitable. I get the argument for Luverne but I don't see how you could put them above NP, SCC, or winner of 4ADeck Slide wrote:hockey9011 wrote:Could slip into the 5 seed. Maybe this will give you a clearer look at how you could do that. A brief recap of Luverne's seasonhockey9011 wrote:EGF hermantown final seems inevitable. Congratulations to Luverne, I've known since jump street they were the best team in this lowly corner of the state, capable of doing things that haven't been done. If I was an alumni slash fan, I'd be god d*** proud of what they've done too. I'm not, but I am. I don't know, maybe your only choice is to be loud, proud and full of f**k you. The sad thing is, the team can speak for itself, without ever saying a word. Good for you and good for the boys, and I'm glad you boys can gloat in their success, they got what you never could. I'm on your team, forget new Ulm (forget replacing that other word). Closing statement, proud, humble, perspective, vicarious, and congratulations, them boys have earned and deserve it.

NOBODY I know of is proud of the comments being viewed as "Gloating". To fully understand some of the comments being made, you would need to have been following along with some of the asinine comments made for the past 3+ years of successful seasons, at least. 100% of the people in Luverne are proud and I'd guess a majority of the people from that area of the state as it's going to be good for all of them getting some looks/recognition, however it's been a VERY long time coming and even WITH what this team has achieved so far... there's STILL basically NO recognition/respect from other areas of the State that this team can play. I'll leave out the absolute LACK of press/respect they've received on some sites, too. Can they hang with Historical powers, or recruited Privates, we'll I guess now we'll see. You better turn your golden jet back around and go back to middle school after all that mumble jumble...Thegoldenjet wrote:Congratulations to Luverne, I've known since jump street they were the best team in this lowly corner of the state, capable of doing things that haven't been done. Hats off to Luverne. Sounds like it was a pretty good game until the middle of the third. Can't wait to catch these guys in person at the X! Lots of top seeds went down last night so I will be interested to see where Luverne ends up? Could this be the year of a 3A winner? Didn't hear anything about any brawls in the stands? Herb, was the scout there? Lots of hockey fans up here were and are pulling for you Luverne!

Just posting newspaper articles from last nights game if anyone is interested before 3A Scout tries to post his opinion of the game & Plagiarizes these reporters & tries to pass it off as his own again.

Props to luverne for playing a good game last night. They deserved it. Hopefully they will get a couple wins at state. As for next year I seen some posts about luverne is developing a good program for the next years. I really do not see luverne being a top team in the section next year. After losing 9 seniors and Nelson to shattuck I don't see them being great

How do you not see them being a top team? Yes, granted losing Olson, Norman, Frakes, Frankenhof, etc..... is gonna sting alittle. BUT!! a lot of the under classmen played a big part of the teams success. Who did you talk to about Nelson going to Shattuck? I'd like to know who your source is.Section3Aguy wrote:Props to luverne for playing a good game last night. They deserved it. Hopefully they will get a couple wins at state. Luverne MAYBE squeaks into the 5 seed, and that's a big maybe.
1 and 2 seeds will be EGF and Hermantown, dont know what order.
With NP (6), Totino (8 ), Mahtomedi(9) and Carheral (10) all being in the top 10 of LPH rankings, along with Orono (11) who I think deserves some credit for being a very good Breck team to go to state, I dont see them getting seeded.
I don't see how having an undefeated record against a very below average schedule can bump you up above any of those teams. Luverne played maybe 6 quality opponents this year in STMA, SLP, Kennedy, and MAYBE Willmar and Minnehaha. Other than that none of their opponents were any good. Tough to get seeded when you don't have many quality wins...

Yeah I'd like to hear who your source is. The rest of the section next year will be even worse..Judd Davis and Kraus is a big loss for New Ulm...Luverne has a solid backup goaltender. Should probably be the number one team in the section again with Sengvongxay, Smedsrud, and Nelson, unless they would lose them for some reason. But I don't see it happening next year..
