Good Lord what a disaster for Hill Murray! Outplayed and outcoached! All the kudos go to the Stillwater Ponies and what a choke job AGAIN by the Pioneers. This one is hung squarley on Lechner's neck. This should have been a Hill Murray blow out against a team that hasn't even sniffed the top 10 all year.

Year 2014 of our Lord will go down as the Pioneers choking on the last game ever played at the Colesium. Tough bag to carry for eternity...

Yes. Program started in 1950-1951, according to Lee's site.

What an upset. Way to close the Coliseum in style, Ponies. They were legitimately the better team for most of that game.

East may very well get the 3 seed now

Depends on how much weight they give Centennial's H2H win over East.

And we wait...for the pioneers guy, sparlimb, st paul dude and others. Did you guys just call the Holiday Inn and cancel your resrvations for next weekend?

Gonna be a tough couple of weeks because people dont pay $16K a year to watch the tournament from the livng room.

Yes, just an unfortunate, unexpected, and arguably embarrassing loss, much like WBL's own loss to Stillwater from just a few days ago. Not an occasion to question where it falls in H-M's history or where it leaves the program. Just an off night for a really good team.

many don't pay if you play good hockey, but some that didn't pay this year might be paying next year like the brothers?

Wow, glad I wasn't there. Good Luck to Stillwater. I guess Edina will have to be the team to hate in this years Tourney, just like the good ole days.

Congratulations to Matt Doman and the Stillwater boys in his first season! I have heard the players really respect him as a coach.

What an utterly embarrassing loss. I can't even complain about losing on a fluke goal because if you can't score two on Stillwater you don't deserve to win a section. They didn't even need OT, 51 minutes was enough. I got a bad feeling with 11 minutes left in the second.

Not to take anything away from the net minder, who played solidly, but it's not like we were getting robbed. Even at the end when we were applying pressure, we were getting shots but not any great chances.

And while it's true that this was an average Hill squad, I think looking back the last maybe several years Hill has had an undue amount of trouble in games when they are favored. Lex's teams do better when the pressure is off or at least lower. They don't seem to come out fired up, ready to light it up and jump out to a 2 or 3 goal lead.
