New Prague Trojan's

Post by urban iceman »

Congrats to these hard working young men and their coaches. First time to state and a 3rd place finish, pretty commendable when they weren't really expected to get thru sections earlier in the season. The majority of those players have been together since mites and genuinely are a band of brothers!
The Parents are exceptional people also that gave a lot of time and effort thru the years for these kids. I am proud to have been a part of it and hope it continues for them next year and years to come. Sad to watch your son leave the ice for possibly the last time, but I have a lot of good memories (and some bad), to relive in my mind but most of all, the state tourney and what an experience it was for my family!! GO TROJAN'S

Interesting that this board has focused on Luverne, when New Prague -- which is only slightly bigger -- went to State and outperformed Luverne.
Impressive showing, New Prague!

New Prague H.S. enrollment 1200
Luverne H.S. enrollment 308

I would say that is a little more then slightly bigger. You are right though about not enough focus being put on New Prague and what they accomplished. Great Season!!

First 1A quarterfinal win since 2003 and best place since 2002, also 3rd.

Congratulations to New Prague, they did great. They've been so close to getting to state a number of times but got it done this year and then brought home a trophy. Hopefully they can keep building their program.

As an ex-hockeydad from New Prague who hasn't had a kid in the program for seven years, I'm very proud of this crew. Great homegrown bunch of kids who represented the community well.

Good to see a first timer to the tourney do well. New Prague has a history of players leaving (like a lot of schools now), nice to see those staying getting rewarded.
Why so Serious?
