Maybe if you were to win the whole country they'd consider it. ;)

16 out of 19 brackets had Union beating Vermont, meaning that 84% of the USHSHO brackets are still perfect.

Once the Gophers lose early a lot of brackets will crash and burn.

14 out of 19 still perfect (74%). Of those 14, 11 have Quinnipiac, who is down by 4 goals in the 3rd. Perfect brackets could be down to 3 by tonight.

On the other side of things, 3 brackets are imperfect, KarlEast, Elliot70, and HoundHockey, proving that you should never get your NCAA tips from anyone near Duluth and wherever the heck Elliot70 lives. KarlEast and Elliot70 both picked Quinnipiac, so their brackets will most likely remain imperfect, but HoundHockey picked the upset here so HoundHockey might actually get on the board! Good for him!

I couldn't do this because I had already joined another group. So who are the leaders here and how is everyone doing?

DrGaf leads the field with 15 points; mnmouth and BodyShots are right behind with 14.

Looks like it's a 3-way race right now--DrGaf picked Minnesota over BC, and mouth picked BC over Minnesota. No one in the field picked UND or Union to win it, but BodyShots, despite having lost his champion (UML) does have UND in the final. If both Union and UND win the semis, he should pull it out. I don't think any of the people just behind have a shot, as they all have either the same champion as someone with more points or have lost their champion.

Meanwhile, some idiot named Karl only has 4 points. No idea who he is.

[quote="ZachHalverson" and wherever the heck Elliot70 lives.

KarlEast and Elliot70 both picked Quinnipiac,[/quote]

It looks like I have third place locked up....
way ahead of 'Zack with no attack'...

And putting me in the same phrase as Karl-East, who knows the least,
is blasphemy.

And Zack, it is ELLIOTT

Don't feel too bad. In my bracket I've got NOBODY winning the eastern semi! I tried to make a couple of last-minute changes just before the deadline, and the system got bogged down at the end and locked me out! ](*,)

Ouch...though I'm going out on a limb here and guessing your national champ is a certain team from the west that's still in it.

I do still have a slight prayer of not finishing at the bottom of the table. Funny thing is, I don't really have a strong rooting interest in the NCAA...yet despite being more neutral, I'm much worse at picking this than I am in HS hockey.

Great guess! If they can put together two more games just like the one they played on Sunday night they just might do it. 8)

In the overall standings it's pretty amazing there are still 53 entrants with perfect brackets (16 points each). Maybe next year we'll both do better...

Oops, now down to 11. Hope the majority of those ( 8 ) end up being correct!

In our little family contest (10 entrants) one of my nephews came in 70th out of the 11,621 who entered. That falls within the 99th percentile which I thought was pretty decent! 8)
