Mankato West's games on Thursday and Saturday have been postponed due to football playoffs. Surprised Simley's game is still on, unless the Spartans don't have any football/hockey players.

Holy Angels beat Providence Academy 9-1
Did not see the game, but I expected it to be closer than this. Especially with Sibell in net.

Holy Angels are tough. Saw them in pre season scrimmages. Besides, what possibly can a 9 th grade goaltender have proven at this stage of his career to deserve such high expectations? i would argue this is his first 'real' varsity game. Very different being a good goalie on a bad team versus 'the guy' on a contender. Real test will be how he bounces back.

I think regardless of how bad a team he was on before, being in his 3rd year as a starting varsity goalie is impressive when he is only a freshman. Not to mention, he had that game against Duluth East where he had 60 saves or something to take them to overtime.
I'm not sure why you think this would be his first 'real' varsity game, he has played teams much better than Holy Angels before.
Also, im not sure many teams are "contenders" if they lose 9-1, even if it is the first game. They only lost to Holy Angels 4-1 last year and that Providence team went 6-19. It seems maybe Sibell went from one bad team to another?
