Edina or Lakeville North?

Post by elliott70 »

If, at a neutral site, on Tuesday Dec 16, Edina and LN played again, who would win?

I'll take Edina unless the game is played at Amsoil Arena since teams from the metro can't seem to win up there (so I'd take Duluth East at that location). Goldy could also be a winner since it may be easier to get a seat away from the band.

If the game was in Worthington, I bet Sam Wenner would have 17 points.

I see this reader poll voting is about 66% in favor of LVN for a hypothetical one game at neutral site . I would have guessed more even.

The LPH balloting was 10 out of 10 for LVN being #1, after their home ice win. ( Hard to vote against that one)

I wonder how readers or coaches would respond to the question: if the two teams played best of 7 series at a neutral site, or a 4/3 split home/away?

After some of the commentary on the first game, my answer might be, "whoever gets the last line change."

At this exact moment, I'd probably favor North on a neutral site. In March, it might be a different answer. I think Edina has more room to improve, though there's no guarantee they'll get there.

I note this poll gap has been closing more towards the 50/50 mark

Now, I'd take LN, only because Edina seems to have a penchant for finding a way to give away early season big games.

In March, I'll take the Hornets against the spread.
