I watched to see if the puck went in, it did.
I watched to see if the SPJ guy was in the crease, close but no.
I saw the interference, but was it created by the Luverne player, I watched it again. Perhaps. But at live speed I have to give the ref the benefit of the doubt, no interference.
And that is the one thing you have to get over in hockey, lots of rules, fastest game in the world, refs are going to get it wrong, especially at the amateur level.
But still a good game.
What I am saying is I am not blaming the ref. non-calls happen all the time. In real time, on he ice, moving, trying to position out of the way; you get what you get. It appears they huddle to determine if any saw any contact and a decision was made. It happens.fastncrash wrote:What cha smokin Willis?elliott70 wrote:Okay.

Puck went in for certain. So, "Great call Stevie".![]()
SPJ Left foot only went in the blue after he checked the Goalie... so I'll give you the benefit of the Blue Ox Doubt on that one.
BUT, the fact that the Goalie had BOTH skates in the Blue, was checked WITHOUT the D even touching him, (Granted the D did put his arm on him after the check) but the puck is already in the net... Tender Interference, for sure.
Bottom line is the Low Official wasn't doing his job as the Contact come so far ahead of the Shot, he was obviously watching the shot as NOBODY that's only 12 fee away misses that call if they have either eyeball on it. OK, so he does miss it... the NEXT indicator of interference MIGHT be the player (who's NOW in the spot where the Tendy would normally be) is sitting on the Tendy's hip?... Ya maybe think something happened there? The first and last camera shot show the WHOLE story. Gorg's reaction to when he saw the last clip (live) clearly explains the deal, all the rest of the clips come in AFTER the contact is already made and the Tender is checked out of the way. Blown call. Period.
You must be messin with me... Willis.
Back to the ORIGINAL post... Bender asked for location of Highlights, I directed him, and then tossed in my opinion on the GWG, otherwise I wouldn't have said anything.elliott70 wrote:

St Peter a #2 Seed in 3A .... OHH WAIT they are in Section 1A geez Bettman at least know the teams in the actual section my man. STPLSHML beat New Ulm. Will St. Peter #2 or #3 seed?
Worthington beat Fairmont the other day. Good for them.
IMO, this is a two team race. It is either going to be Hutch or Luverne. Yeah, one of the 3-5 teams could maybe pull an upset. But you all saw how badly Luverne beat New Ulm, and how bad Hutch beat Marshall. Litch is the same as they have been in the past few years, nothing special at all, got smoked by New Prague, who is not near as good as the way they started out the season. What Hutch has to offer is Cowger. When they played last year he couldn't get anything going. Cowger vs Sengvongxay could be fun to watch. But Luverne's first line may be too much to handle for Hutchinson's defense. And we all know goaltending is an issue for both teams, I really hope we get to see this matchup in the section finals! Unless somehow luverne can't get passed new Ulm or Marshall!Section 3A HockeyScout wrote:St Peter a #2 Seed in 3A .... Hutch taking State Ranked New Prague to OT shows they are coming on strong.
Section is going to be fun to watch.... In the mean time I love the Hate Luverne theme going... My Kind of People!
so what are you saying? Luverne is no good? Yeah, we know that. Luverne sucks, they're over rated, can't play 2 lines, blah blah blah. Come up with something new. I've got a noble idea, maybe we can stop banging on HS hockey players and actually talk about what's going on. SEACREST OUT![/img]Nuts&Bolts wrote:I used to watch a show called Luverne and Shirley. She had a big L on her sweater. Not a very good show. Surely you see the connection but quit calling me Shirley.
Luverne had a Special HDMN Jersey. It just wasnt Camouflage.Nuts&Bolts wrote:Oh the old Lamplighter. Now that was the place to go back in the day. But hey I was just talking about how I learned to spell Luverne from earlier in the thread and the big L on the jersey since they didn't do a special HDMN jersey. You can draw your own conclusions about them being not very good, having no depth and being overrated and most outside of this thread would agree with you. Don't shoot the messenger and please don't call me Shirley.

Willmar knocks off New Ulm which sets up even more confusion on how to seed this section.
Some big games coming up in the next two weeks
LDC vs. Marshall
Marshall vs. Willmar
Marshall vs. Luverne
New Ulm vs. Luverne
Hutch vs. LDC
Marshall has the biggest chance to move up.
Seeds #1 and #2
Luverne and Hutch
Right now Luverne is #1 but a loss at either NU or Marshall will drop them.
Hutch is a good spot at #2 and only has a game at LDC remaining in the Section a team they handled fairly easily a week ago. They could very well end up #1 if Luverne drops another game.
Seeds #3, #4, #5 & #6
LDC, Willmar, NU & Marshall
Right now LDC looks pretty solid at #3 they own a tie with NU and wins over Willmar, Redwood, Windom, Morris-Benson. Also own a big 8-2 win over St Peter who has beat the rest of this Section. If they beat Marshall they are a lock for the 3 seed and if they knock off Hutch the 2nd time they could move up to 2.
Willmar with their big upset over New Ulm moves into the 4 seed slot. They own wins over Windom, Morris Benson and now New Ulm. If thy beat Marshall they should be seeded 4. They alos have a tight one goal loss to LDC on their resume. However, they have a (5-13-0) record they dont play a majority of the Section teams that could hurt them when the coaches in the section vote.
New Ulm is looking at a 5 seed right now possibly they have a ties against Hutch and LDC. They beat Marshall the 2nd time but lost the first and a lost to Willmar really hurts. They have their BIGGEST GAME OF THRE YEAR Friday night in NU vs. Luverne. All the marbles on the line for New Ulm now. They must win that game or they are looking at a road playoff game.
Marshall has the most to gain. They have key games vs. Willmar, LDC and Luverne left they can move up. If they get beat in all 3 they will be stuck at a 6 seed. However if they can win one or two they can move up dramatically.
Seeds #7, #8, #9, #10, #11
Redwood Valley, Morris Benson, Windom, Fairmont and Worthington
These teams are at the bottom and it's a mess.
Redwood has beaten Worhtington, Fairmont, Morris Benson but lost to Windom.
Morris Benson has Swept Worthington but Spilt with Windom and still has a key game left with Redwood to move up possibly.
Windom has beaten Redwood once and Beat Morris Benson buth ey also own losses to Worthington and Fairmont.
Who ever wins the second match up between Worthington and Fairmont will most likely be the #10 seed loser get the #11 Seed. #11 seed has to play the 6 seed in the Play In round. #10 seed play #7 seed. There is a DRAMATIC drop off in talent between #6 and #7 in this Section. So that is an important game.
When is the Seeding Meeting for coaches? This year there is going to be some great debate going on. Lost of teams with good arguments at this meeting.
Here is my Prediction as of (1-25-15)
#1 Luverne
#2 Hutch
#3 LDC
#4 Willmar
#5 New Ulm
#6 Marshall
#7 Morris Benson
#8 Redwood Valley
#9 Windom
#10 Fairmont
#11 Worthington
Play In Round Match Ups
#11 Worthington @ #6 Marshall
#10 Fairmont @ #7 Morris Benson
# 9 Windom @ #8 Redwood Valley
Quarterfinals
Winner of Windom/Redwood @ #1 Luverne
#5 New Ulm @ #4 Willmar
Winner of Fairmont/Morris-Benson @ #2 Hutch
Winner of Worthington/Marshall @ #3 LDC
Still plenty of games left to shake up the Section Seeds. Should be a fun finish to the year only 3 Weeks Left!
