Who you got in this 7AA showdown? Duluth East seems to have played better the last few games but haven't faced a team of Elk Rivers caliber in a while. Should Elk River win, it would further cement the 1-3 seeds in 7AA. If East wins they'll throw a wrench into the top 3. Anyone know if there is media coverage besides twitter?

Looking forward to this one. I'd expect a pretty good crowd. We'll see how well East travels.

I'm sure Elk River will be fired up after last years section final. East will give them a good game, but the difference will be East doesn't have a Jaremko on their team. I like the Elks in OT 3-2.

East rolls 5-2 with the last an empty net. Locks up #2 seed.

No way Randolph will let them lose this one.
DE- 4 ER- 2 (en) and East takes the 2 seed from Rapids.

Even if ER loses, they still have #1 locked up. Only way they don't is if they lose all of their remaining games.
It certainly has the potential to mess up #2 and #3 seeds though. I think if GR went 2-0 this past weekend they would have locked up the #2 seed, but with an ER win here I think they have it anyway.
I'd venture a guess the Elks win 3-1.

I think these two teams started playing in the Spehar era? Karl do you have any all-time series info. I'm hoping the ER faithful show up and liven up the rink. It hasn't been to full yet this year, sometimes as many scouts as non-parent fans. East/ER still has a nice allure to it and The ER kids want to make statement I'm sure.

If East can go all the way to Lakeville North and play the number one team in the state with bus legs and keep it a 1 goal game (1-0), they can keep it close against a less talented team like Elk River.
My head says ER wins 3-1.
My heart says east wins 4-2 en.
I'll say ER wins 3-2.
