Duluth Denfeld @ Duluth Marshall
Duluth Marshall has really been struggling. Started with the Mahtomedi game, where Mahtomedi took control in the third period and overtime. Marshall was fortunate to come out of the game with a tie. Denfeld had a good weekend up in the NW corner of the state last weekend, whereas Marshall split with Warroad and Thief River Falls, Denfeld won both games. I'm going to pick Denfeld, especially if they stay out of the box.

Toppers lead 2-1 after 1
Three thoughts on the game:
1. Dylan Michaud not playing tonight for Denfeld. They will need him back if they want to entertain any thoughts of making a run in 7A.
2. Nick Thompson may be Kenyan. Kid has not left the ice for Denfeld. He makes Suter look like a benchwarmer.
3. Marshall coach needs a new hairstylist.

I was also a bit surprised to see who started in goal for Denfeld. I know he's a senior, but the stats aren't close.rainier wrote:4-2 Toppers final. Toppers were better team for sure, but Michaud could go a long way to putting the Hunters on equal footing.
Good job by Marshall to get back in the W column and lock up the 2-seed. Should be a fun one if these two match up in the semis.
