He's a nice guy actually. He's also the head coach for Cloquet's high school football team.
What is the rationale given for not allowing these games to be streamed? I don't get why an AD would be against this.
Presumably because they want people to come to games instead of watching for free online?

Of course, this is small consolation for anyone who lives outside of realistic driving range on a Monday night. It is also absurd for this game, which will be packed to the rafters with or without a webcast.

I would guess they want butts in the stands and the revenue that comes from that

If anyone has a stream for this game please post the link... Unfortunately won't be able to go tonight. Hockey DJ said there is a stream on ifan, but there's nothing on the schedule that suggests that.

Heard back from the AD. He did not receive a request from iFan to broadcast this game. kniven, presuming you are the "individual" he referenced who had broadcast games in the past, he seemed to say the ball is in your court and that you hadn't responded to his correspondences about meeting with him and the radio station to work something out.

This is great news! I would love to watch a stream of this game. Hope something can get set up tonight.

Eh, the tone didn't make it sound like something that would happen right away. Not impossible, though, I suppose.

I don't want to work anything out really. Either yes you can stream or no you can't stream. What's there to work out. He mentioned that I meet with the local radio station, and then maybe he'd let me. I'm just a fan. My priority is the kids and Coach Esse. I'll pass on working something out and maybe stuff.

I volunteer all my time while running a business and raising a family. Why? Because I am absolutely nuts about our kids here for our CEC Lumberjacks. If he wants to work something out, he can hire somebody. :)

I can do better than that. go to www.cecboyshockey.com and listen to the audio stream over the internet.

And again...I have no problem with the AD. I just think they could hire a professional to do the streaming of the games. They could work out everything with that person. I work for the team.

Thanks for the link. I had no idea this site existed. Is it new? It looks similar to the GR site. I wish DE had a webpage for their hockey team, pretty sad that they don't.

Presumably the school has some sort of contract with the radio station, which has an obligation to its sponsors, so I can see his concern. I don't think this will work unless you hash it out.

Yes I created this website 3 years ago. I maintain year round as a hobby. And during the hockey season, things get really busy.

WEBC 560 has it.

Online stream here (you may need to enable their plug-in): http://lightningstream.surfernetwork.co ... &call=WEBC

CEC 1-0 after one. PP goal. I think shots are 9-4 East.

1-1 after 2. Shots 21-7 East. Sounds like East is generating a lot of chances but can't connect.

Still 1-1 heading to OT. A CEC win would shake things up, might be the best meeting yet.

Tie. This helps Cloquet and hurts the Hounds.

1-1 tie. Final. Doesn't answer many questions for seeding purposes although I think CEC needed a win to really be in a discussion to be seeded ahead of East. Sounds like CEC goalie stood on his head while Howg did well too just didn't face as many shots.

I know at this time in the season I'm way behind for asking this. But is this freshman Ian mageau (sp?) The real deal? I've seen his name quite a bit lately.
