Duluth East
So after making the long bus ride on nasty roads yesterday, East beats Lakeville South 2-1. Any readings for either team after these results?

Not a huge surprise for me, at least. East's system over the second half of the season (since the Rapids loss) has had them playing very tight and (other than LVN) even games with all of the teams ranked ahead of them. To anyone who's been watching them regularly, it's no surprise to see them beat a good team like South. The system's downside is that it leaves them in tight games against weaker teams, too. It's the risk they take.
Not a terrible result for South, either. They have the 2-seed locked up in 1AA, and there's not much shame in losing to East.

That's why they play the games for sure!!! Always upsets in the sections.......... its happened in the past in 1AA....... Unforseen circumstances (ie flu, outside of hockey suspensions, sunspots, Bemidji Jaugernaut roaring through...!!!) can always occur which could effect the game........... BUT North will come out of the sections as champs...... take it to the bank!!

Oh, no doubt it has its flaws. Live by the system, die by the system...or, to speak more accurately to those results, die by the moments when you fail to get to the system early in a game.northwoods oldtimer wrote:Couple of cracks in "the system" Karl for the past 5 games.

I wrote more about this recently, but don't think I ever posted it to the forum because we were in Critical Error at the time: http://www.ushsho.com/forums/viewtopic. ... &start=650
