Result

Eden Prairie beat Edina Green 4-3 to advance to the state tournament. It was a really well played game by both teams and the third of four meetings between the teams to be decided by one goal.

Sorry about not being able to post the score but my internet went down for some reason. I can tell you EPs best player is Jack Hewitt. Not sure of the number (10?) but he is very big and fast. I played with him last summer.

The other game

Post by MNHockeyObserver »

In the other game that night, White Bear Black scored a deflection goal with :05.3 to tie the score at 1-1. The teams played 6 overtimes with no resolution. White Bear dominated the opportunities in those overtimes. I think the final game shots were something like 72-34. The Minnetonka goalie was phenomenal.

In the 7th overtime, White Bear got a goal that barely crossed the line, which I don't believe the Mtka goalie believes, but they counted it.

Exciting game. Both teams had good chances to finish it off. Shame someone had to lose.
