I would love to know how many times either of you have ever played goalie, or if you even know anything about it. Once the net comes off once there is a groove in the ice which makes the force needed to push the net off little to nothing. I wasn't there and didn't see and this case could have been very blatant, but when playing goalie you use your posts as a point of reference as to where you are in the net, the slightest bump at times can push the net off if it has came off previously in that period. Maybe the refs should have put some water in the grove after putting the net back into place and allowed it to freeze? I wouldn't be so quick to point the goalie as doing it intentionally unless it was very very blatant.Whiner33 wrote:Ask JOE!! It appeared very blatant to me. I don't know if it was 2 "very's", but i think 1 "very" blatant was warranted. Water was applied several times by the officiating crew on both ends Redwood was defending. I remember a Little Falls goalie M Stumph a couple years back conveniently dislodging the goal a half doz times in a game when the pressure got heated near the crease in Sec. Semi final game. Tactically it wasn't a bad decision by Stremcha to have him kick it off. It was a firing range out there, and many (15 ish) situations where tremendous pressure was being put on redwood the goalie kicked the net off. I can't blame him, hell, it almost worked for him.....
