1AA Final: Farmington vs. Lakeville North
The last obstacle on undefeated North's run to the State Tourney is the same as the first one, as they take on Farmington. That first game was a tight 6-5 affair, though the Panthers followed that one up with a resounding 6-0 win in the second meeting. If the Tigers pull it off, it would be an upset for the ages. Do they have any chance?

Last year Farmington came out firing and just couldn't catch a break early. The Tigers easily could have put up 2 or 3 against North in the first 7 minutes but didn't then fell behind and North isn't a team you want to fall behind on and try and take chances on because with their skill they will make you pay.
No one will say that Farmington is more talented or as deep as North but Farmington does have some really talented players and a solid goalie. South lost control in their own end and paid for it. North probably won't have that problem with their high end defensemen but they'll still have to withstand pressure Hauswirth and his line will put on them at times and probably early on.
Farmington can't take penalties as North will make them pay but the flip side is North can't have key kids sitting for 12 minutes either as they had against Century and expect a favorable outcome. Discipline on both sides will be key early. Like last year the crowd will probably very heavily pro Farmington which should give them an early jump coupled with the fact North played two pretty poor teams last week......I don't think the four Rochester schools combined could keep North out of running time.....while Farmington played a pretty decent South team and didn't struggle much. Unlike last year though these two teams played twice in conference play this year so Farmington won't surprise North with anything like I think happened early on last year.
If Farmington can get a couple early the pressure will all be on North and I'd bet the Panthers will struggle conversely if North gets up a couple early it will probably be running time in the third.
I expect North to win but 1AA has had clear section favorites lose more often than any other section the last decade or so. We've seen some incredible goalie performances change games and make names for themselves in this game.

Bayside am not sure what you are saying..... IF North wins tomorrow night they very well may be the number one seed in the tourney. There is a "random" drawing for the 6-8 seeds. If service holds true, there could be some very good teams who receive these seeds. The games will most likely indeed be real challenging.
