Hermantown fans and coaches will undoubtedly still find a way to whine about STA. The funny thing is we never heard the players complain - that was left to the adults. Oh, and I'm a Hermantown grad who has gotten tired of the constant moaning about the private schools and who is ready to see the Hawks step up to AA.

i have to agree the hermantown players and the students for the most part treated STA with a mutual respect, the treatment that I saw Hermantown adults give to STA students was really sad in the past few meetings

Yep. We will see it again. Note the thread on best student sections. Alot of people out there that despise STA, which is fine actually, as long as they can keep there actions in check.

Rationalization is a awfully hard concept to overcome, for all of us.

Funny thing is the fact that no one likes them, similar to Edina actually works in their favor. Might as well win. Nobody will like you anyway. Hemantown has a built in excuse, coach Plante, erroneously IMO, goes back to that Public school BS. Poor strategy.

this is a false accusation, as the family actually resides in the Dellwood area now.

I stand corrected. My bad for repeating inaccurate heresay. Not fair to the player or family.

Also, I had no intent to "accuse" anyone of anything. I just found it interesting. I have no problem with private school hockey or kids opting to play or transfer or move as long as it's all done within MN league rules.

In any case, he's a good player with a bright hockey future.
