Its bad enough when parents try to influence there children's success in hockey throughout the squirt, peewee, bantam years, by intimidating coaches with their know it all attiitude, status or just stupidity. Its getting old, But to continue beyond that seems to be pure spiteful, with deeper issues, sociopath comes to mind. It is Orono! who wears the pants in Orono anyway? The coach they drummed out will be coaching again soon because he is good. I wish the puppet they replace him with in Orono good luck! He or she will need it.

You two (PondHockeyWizard & Illhaveanother) are either related to this guy or you’re the other guy who didn’t stick around. Funny how you guys have only posted to this forum right after the coach got dismissed. Not like the other posts of people who actually like to converse on the topic of hockey. You don’t think other people from Orono are reading these posts and know who you are? Be men/women; stop hiding behind your computer. You reference DM in one of your other posts, which we know is Duluth Marshall and how under rated they were, that they beat Breck and still were ranked under them, well I didn’t see them in the State Tournament? Probably bad coaching, don’t you think? I mean, that is what your referencing when you say Orono lost in semi’s right? It’s too bad you have to attack young men to make yourself feel better. Your right PondHockeyWizard that’s karma.
Didn’t their assistants have a better record than the previous coach, I believe they did. You are right though bad hires by the AD in the past. When you involve parent’s to help pick a coach it never works out. Proper vetting is essential, rumor is they might have an NHL guy next year or promote within the program where they have many talented coaches. Bantam A’s are a good looking group of young men who have been well coached and are going somewhere. Next year will probably be a growing year but they will again be a rich program with talented players and supporting parents. Stop the bashing when you have one side of the story boys and post something constructive…..I mean unless this is what you do for a living? The reason that you only see one side of the story is because the Orono community has more integrity, class and character then to stoop to your self-promoting rants!

You make some good points, but why the high turnerover in coaches?

O- Boy- thanks for coming outta the closet...with all of your integrity. "vetting" that's impressive. No the wizard not related to "this guy" - as you put it, nor the smart coach that left. Just a guy that's sick of people like you that run coaches out.
No worries- after your side of the story (lies and fabrications) come out, YOU and your small group will be exposed on a larger scale than Minnhock.

Funny don't even have a horse in the race but not ashamed to say I'm from from Orono. Your probably right in saying your not the brightest bulb on the tree because it was you and your buddy PondHockeyWizzard that started the thread bashing. Up until that point no one had anything negative to say, just questions so don't try to make it seem like the Orono community is even talking about this. All was dead, hockey was over but you two just had to keep the thread going...wonder why? That's all I have to say on the matter.
People see through the mean spirited comments and they will make their own decision that was really my only point. You two are not worth the effort just wanted to point out to people that there are always two sides to a story. Look at your posts, dates, comments and come to your own conclusion, you don't have to be Sherlock Holmes....you do know who he was right?

Your damn right I know who he was/is, he is Mike Randolf, Curt Giles, Phil Housley, Pauley, Paulette, Welch, Gordy Roberts, Burce Pante, Decenzo, Esse,
and every other coach, coaching high school in Minnesota. He is a guy coaching for nothing financially, just for the love of it and to help young boys become men, teaching them team work and trying to get something out of them that allows them to over achieve.
All of these coaches and more have been bullied by parents who think they know better.
I also so know who you are!!!
Your in every rink across the state, your the parent who will talk to anyone who will listen, belittling the coach any chance you get, questioning your son when he gets home, you critique the game, call the coach a moron, and stupid, behind his back, write letters to the administration to undermine the coach, make up lies and rumors to undermine his authority, claim you know better and just become a big pain in the ass.
Most likely an underachieving athlete that tries and makes up for it through your son.

I say, just because you worked in Herb Brooks office or watched mighty ducks or compare hockey systems to baseball. doesnt mean you can coach hockey or even question what a coach is trying to do.
