Does anyone know the backstory on this kid? He's rated one of the highest MN born players in the next NHL draft. Did he do youth hockey in Burnsville? Did he play baseball or summer AAA Hockey? Just curious, its great to see a MN kid make it that high up on the NHL Draft!

Yes, played youth hockey through Burnsville program. Was star trib player of the year last year as a junior, committed to Wisconsin, decommitted, went to Waterloo this year, has done very well, recently committed to Nodak.Tron wrote:Does anyone know the backstory on this kid? Cousin Dan was a 98 Burnsville grad, heck of a player himself, played at and captained Wisco in early 2000's, played a little minor league hockey. Very good bloodlines.

Wow, great info. Just curious if he has always been a natural talent and where he played his YH, seems burnsville born and raised. Good for him and the Burnsville program then.Sats81 wrote:Yes, played youth hockey through Burnsville program. Pretty sure he was always a good youth player, but really took off his soph year in HS at Burnsville.Tron wrote:Wow, great info. This kid has been a superstar since the first day he laced up his skates. He's been dominant at every level. Should have played Varsity as a 9th grader but chose to play Bantam's instead.
Great Baseball player and golfer too.
I would expect him to play 2 years at North Dakota then make the jump to the NHL. Great kid!!
