Anyone out there seen all three, Bittner, Boeser and Novak, in person a few times? Seems almost unbelievable the closeness of the proximity to one another at numbers 26,27,28.
I guess I had the misimpression or misremember that Bittner was a much better NHL prospect than that other two, and conceivably might go direct to NHL.
In any event, Boeser and Novak being so close DOES makes sense to me based on what I saw over the years. I imagine both gained a few pounds and added strength in the last year.
I suppose we could all repredict what might have happened at the X if Novak had finished out his senior year.

Sure i'll take heat for this, but I would rather have Novak then Boeser. Since Boeser and Novak split up in Waterloo, Novak has played by far his best hockey of the year.WestMetro wrote:Anyone out there seen all three, Bittner, Boeser and Novak, in person a few times? As far as "repredicting" what might have happened at the X with Novak at STA...same result. You need solid, consistent goaltending and D to win at AA. STA had neither.

I have only seen Bittner in the US prospect game earlier this year and I was not that impressed, obviously just one game though. I was more impressed with Novak than Boeser when I saw them in high school. I always thought Novak was the best player of their age group for Minnesota high school hockey. To me, I think Novak is probably the most skilled of the three, but I think the other two project to be better NHL type players.WestMetro wrote:Both very talented and put up big numbers. My recollection is Novak had more stickhandling ability and quickness, Boeser had a harder shot and was more of a physical and tenacious player especially bearing down on the net from the right side
Novak had NHL puck skills as a soph in HS. Incredible hands.WestMetro wrote:Both very talented and put up big numbers. My recollection is Novak had more stickhandling ability and quickness, Boeser had a harder shot and was more of a physical and tenacious player especially bearing down on the net from the right side
