Those would be your 2 superstars down in SW MN. I watched a bit of the Class A tourney in March, didn't see them though.....Were they sick? Injured?Whiner33 wrote:Because he worked so hard for his points this year Sats 81?Sats81 wrote:Congrats to LN's Max Johnson, Henry Enebak and Ryan Edquist all making the 17's.
Also, trying to figure out how in the world Lakeville South's Jack Olsen didn't make 16s?????
You're correct Sats they were sitting home licking their wounds from playing with that top six dman in Minnesota all year long!Sats81 wrote:Those would be your 2 superstars down in SW MN. Top 6 dmen in MN? I can name 4 on LN alone better than him and probably 2 from LS. I'm sure there are plenty more as well.Whiner33 wrote:You're correct Sats they were sitting home licking their wounds from playing with that top six dman in Minnesota all year long!Sats81 wrote:Those would be your 2 superstars down in SW MN. The chemistry had some bad mixture, "2" of the superstars played extremely well at the end of the year. Top line scored 5 goals in the section final, applied constant pressure throughout the game. It's hard to overcome scoring on yourself, very deflating circumstance. Should be quite exciting to watch next year. If they don't play at the X next year, it will be a huge disappointment.InYourFace09 wrote:Are we still talking about Luverne's greatness when they can't seem to make it out of their section? You would think with "3" superstars they could at least play at the X one game a year.

I'm sorry, when did this topic -- like almost every other topic -- become about Section 3 and/or Luverne and/or the terrific twosome. Again. And again. And again. Roll away Cards, roll. Please.
Congratulations to all of the kids making it to National Camp at both 16's and 17's! Looks like considerable turnover this year, at least at the 17's level. I count six kids on the 17's list who made it back for the third consecutive year, not sure how that compares in terms of years past. Looks like quite a few on the 17's list never made a national camp before. Is this a testament to the depth of talent or a concerted effort by MN Hockey to manipulate the results so they live up to their "high percentage of turnover" claim. In any event, all of the people complaining in the 54's topic about it the spots being pre-filled should be happy. Also looks like a lot of kids from outside the metro and A programs this year, too, so that camp should be happy. And before you start with the Hatorade, I'm just making an observation compared to past years' National Camp lists, not saying they don't deserve it. But I will say there seem to be a few names missing from the list that I would have expected to be there.

I only saw one weekend game of the 16s, so I can't make a comparison about overall tournament performance. Based on the past, I was quite surprised that Olsen did not make the list. I will say the 16s have an especially strong group of statewide D men . I see that neither Lemaster nor Harris made the list either. There was only one that did make the list that surprised me , based on last year

Well Herbie IS known for his insight. Again (and again and again) people need to get over the idea that the HP selection system is somehow unbiased and not at least somewhat determined before they set foot on the ice. The games are not really the best indicator of who moves on. I am sure these kids all work hard. If you don't like it, no one is forcing anyone to pay, I mean play. And just to fire up 10minmajor, if Luverne can't get to the X in 2016, then you better start looking at what is wrong down there. Feel bad for this years seniors. Should have been there this year. No competition AT ALL in their section next year and a lot of high scorers on their team. I will be looking for you. Again.

Damn. Hijacked again, yet somehow I am feeling the love from hawk. What say we change the name of this "bored board" to LuverneHockeyForum.com. FOLD CARDS, FOLD. Er, I mean Roll Cards, Roll.hawkenjonny wrote:And just to fire up 10minmajor, if Luverne can't get to the X in 2016, then you better start looking at what is wrong down there.
