Peoples top ten rankings are contained in a different thread, but;
With Zimmer leaving, Wayzata drops out of my top 10 and possibly out of top 15.
With Edquist leaving but Johnson staying, I will drop LVN from #2 to somewhere in the middle of my top 10. Relying on others to comment on LVN upcoming replacement goaltending strength.

Nothing set in stone yet with edquist, just as there wasn't with Max but you all seem to have the answers!WestMetro wrote:Peoples top ten rankings are contained in a different thread, but;

Regardless if Eddy leaves or not LN will have a solid stopper. Mark my words.
Word at Pan-O-Prog was, if you cant get the Lakeville South goalie to come North your going to make a big offer to Josh Harding!Sats81 wrote: Nothing set in stone yet with edquist, just as there wasn't with Max but you all seem to have the answers!

Per a Duluth newspaper article about the U-18 USA team now playing in Slovakia, Tufte will start in Fargo but has yet to decide if he will play HS this year.The Exiled One wrote:Not confirmation of anything, but Koby Bender, Ryan Edquist, Michael Graham, Mitch Mattson, Nick Swaney, and Riley Tufte are all missing from the Elite League rosters.

Heard over the weekend about a MN HS Jr going to play Tier III this year and also saw on the other thread about the Grand Rapids kid going to the SIJHL.
Doesn't seem like those moves are tracked as well because they seem to be more under the radar talent level kids but does anyone know how common that is? Is MN HS losing many kids with eligibility to Tier III or Canada Junior A/B yearly? (personally I don't get the point of jumping ship to those leagues while in HS)
BTW, I saw two SIJHL games last year, Minnesota Iron Rangers and Fort Francis. The level of play was good, certainly above 90% of MN HS teams play. I do remember seeing a few 98's on those rosters last winter but don't remember where they were from.

Here's the story from hockey hub on it http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/news_article/show/548093
I like this quote from Coach Eigner about replacing Edquist after it was noted that both returning goalies played exclusively on JV last year. " Just like Jake Oettinger and Ryan Edquist were interested in our program, it wouldn't surprise me if there is interest out there"

What's funny is you karl, just like everyone else on here assuming, really knows NOTHING about the details of Edquist and this "decision".karl(east) wrote:Hard to get much more brazen than that. At least the other recruiting programs have learned to use filters.![]()
Edquist's departure is zero surprise to anyone who'd been following that story.
"Other recruiting programs"?! I Forgot your beloved DE is the model for integrity.
Best of luck Ryan. First class kid.
Now let's assume old Sats is the best GM in HS hockey and will find his replacement quickly....that Kolquist kid have any HS eligibility left?
