Best State Tourney Line Ever
I would have to start with Spehar, Locker, and Wheeler in '96. I don't know the exact numbers but they all put up some serious points before being hosed by the refs vs. AV.

Best Line
Hands down Spehar, Locker, Wheeler. 2 different years Spehar scored 9 goals in a tournament. Not sure about the other guys stats but they were good. Also, Stewart, Plude, and Hanson? (not sure on the 3rd player) for Elk River in 2001 were awesome to watch, but in a distant second to the Spehar line.

Re: Best Line
Bochenski, Hendricks and some other dude from Blaine. (Not number 1 but pretty dominant if I remember correctly).

Best line
Didn't see Mayasich and his Eveleth cronies but for pure numbers, they're easily the best.

That Spehar line is definitely up there - damn they were fun to watch.

My favorite ever though was the Roseau Broten/Erickson.

Re: Best line
Lund-Gotziman(sp?)- Hites, for Roseau in '90 were very fun to watch.

Re: Best line
Billy Lund, Chris Gotziman, Chris Hites for Roseau in '90

Plude-Stewart-Hanson (ER)
Kelly Plude, Trevor Stewart and Moose Hanson were a helluva line for the ER state champs ... I think Plude had a hat trick in the final, Stewart was the man in the semis, and Hanson had a bunch of power play opportunities in front of the net. The three of them were hell on wheels the whole tourney.

Re: Plude-Stewart-Hanson (ER)
Spehar-Locker-Wheeler didn't win a title in '96, something important in the discussion, IMO.

Carlson, Stafford, Yurecko for Edina '97. Pretty much led Edina to a title that they really had no business winning.

Other good ones:
-Bloom, McDermott, Werness for Burnsville '86.
-Miller & Decker, '87 for Kennedy.
-Bianchi, I. Petersen, T Petersen for Jefferson '94.

Rams
All great lines, but man for man not sure if Broten - Broten - Erickson can be topped. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> Name another line where all three went on to NHL careers?

Re: Rams
What about the Walters-Walters-Somebody line for Hibbing last year? Carried them as far as they got.

I think the Guyer & Sertich line, Spehar & ER lines are also very good picks.
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

Re: Best State Tourney Line Ever
I am just curious if anyone on here can tell me all of the players that played hockey after high school from the 93' Jefferson team. I am just curious how many really did and where they played. Can someone fill me in? If they really did have that many they had to have had one of the best lines in the State tourney, if not more than one.

BabyBlueFan4life-

Wasn't there like alot of players on that team that also went on to play Juniors and D1? Is there anyone that could tell me the guys from that team that went to play Juniors and the guys that went to play college. I thought that like 10 or 12 guys from that one team went to play after highschool. Is that really true all from one team? Could anyone name all of them?

I did forget a few guys, can't believe I missed the Trebil boys. It is true though, and something that probably won't be seen again with all the alternatives now.
