Max Johnson to Bowling Green

Post by Sats81 »

Max Johnson announces his commitment to Bowling Green. Congrats. Great all around hockey player.

Hey Bemused- 8th LN D1 commit. Not bad hah? Think You said I was nuts 2+ yrs ago when I said at least 6...not done yet. There will be over 10 when all is set and done.

You can acknowledge that any time now.

Think there was an Edina team. 82 maybe? Or Grand Rapids 81/82 or something that had like 13 or 14!

Who is the 8th? Or are we counting baseball, too?

Funny thing about this story is the Elite League did not think he was good enough to be in the league this year thus cut him after tryouts. HAHA They would have rather got a kid that was coming out of Bantams. Yikes. This is a bad miss especially coming off a 42 pt season.

You are missing my point.

Oettinger-BU
Sadek-U of M
McNeely-UNO
N.Poehling-SCSU
J.Poehling-SCSU
R.Poehling-SCSU
M.Johnson-Bowling Green
Edquist-U of M

At least 2 more coming possibly 3.

Angelo Altavilla would have a D1 hockey scholarship too if he wasn't so good at baseball. In fact there were more than a handful of D1 hockey schools pushing him to play both. Unfortunately, none of these schools have D1 baseball and he is better at baseball than hockey.

Not really missing the point. If we're talking about teams that produce the most D1 players, both these Lakeville teams are currently at seven.

Old Goalie 85 and others......

See list below, contained in thread Teams with Most D-1 Players. I think this list was pretty well vetted at the time.

Lakeville North could well break onto this list in a year or two.
