St. Thomas vs Rosemount

Post by Gotothenetman »

Was anyone there I heard from some people it was a great game, but also there was some controversy around a disallowed goal for Rosemount and the game winner for St. Thomas with 0.00 on the clock.

Curious to get some other views from those who were there.

i wasnt there but watched it online on msbn. Not sure why the rosemount goal was called off. It looked like the net was pushed off on purpose by STA right before the goal was scored. As for the GWG goal by STA the puck was in just before the buzzer sounded so it seemed like the right call. It was a pretty even game, Although I thought STA controlled most of the 3rd period. Not sure if STA played poorly or Irish are just that good or a combination of the two but time will tell.

I didn't see a clock on the MSBN broadcast so how do you know it went in with time remaining? As for the net if it was pushed off before the puck went in the goal is still disallowed but should be a delay of game penalty but how often has this been called in the last 5 years? Virtually never. STAA is going to have to rely on a couple of guys to do alot of the scoring as they did in this game. Check back in around Xmas on both of these team as time will tell.

STA won 10-1

I too questioned the goal at the end of the game but according to several people who were watching from behind the net, it was a good goal.

Not surprised by the JV score I heard St. Thomas has a very good JV team. I think the Irish have like 13 Or 14 seniors so probably real young JV
