Im sure the North recruiting process is in full swing trying to find a goalie that can stop a Puck ...maybe you can have Elko or the greater Minneapolis Metro (oh sorry you already do)
Look at the bright side you have Shakopee next on your run to 21 straight (LMAO)

Sats, your summary of Lakeville N the past couple of years truly points out an amazing run. Community should be very proud of that. I'm not a Lakeville fan but I'm pretty sure a state championship can be won by a team with five losses, so one loss who cares. I kind of think the Lakevillie coaches aren't too disappointed with an early season loss. I will try to derail the Sats vs the world conversation (although you have some of it coming to you). With the parity in AA this year, how many would place an even dollar bet that the state champions have 5 or more losses this year. Or in Gambling terms, the over under is 5 1/2 on losses for state champ, where are you putting your money at? GB

Listen BadMom, the best thing about Sats81 is you know exactly what you are going to get from him!! He is no prom date who is just going to lay there and stink! He is going to pump his program when it is working and take his shots like a man when it's not. The greatest fun that keeps me reading here is when it gets personal!!! Sats lays it out there and love him or hate him, that is admirable!!! Now let's get it rolling!!!!!!badgermom78 wrote:

I would have to agree. There are more equal/high end teams this year. These teams will have some losses once sections start.GoldenBear wrote:Sats, your summary of Lakeville N the past couple of years truly points out an amazing run. I'll take that bet. There will be multiple teams with 5 losses or fewer. One of them will be your winner.Defensive Zone wrote:I would have to agree. There are more equal/high end teams this year. Going back to the game. I knew SW was good this year, but to beat LN will keep SW in the conversation throughout the year. Remember, Holy Family also beat LN over the summer during a tournament. At that time, LN had the same problem then, as they do now...keeping the puck out of their net.BodyShots wrote:I'm actually surprised LN was able to get 5 goals against SW and Benson. I was expecting something around 3-2 or 4-2 SW win.Sats81 wrote:Unless you are those elite groups your opinion matters little to me.
I can't take it anymore. I have to chime in. A couple of things need to be clarified from last nights game. First, I stood behind the Lakeville net all night. The scorer missed at least a half a dozen shots on net for Stillwater. The seemed like the only time the scorer counted a shot was when the goalie covered the puck or it went in. Second, whiners always throw their goalie(s) under the bus when they lose. Third, this group of Stillwater kids have been beating on competitors from the west side and throughout the state for 5 years. All I have read on this thread is how bad Lakeville played, how bad their goalie is and why Sats sucks. Most of you don't appear to know it yet but this Stillwater team is one of the better teams in the state. They went into Lakeville with their olympic size rink (big advantage to be home team with unusual rink), got behind 3-1, battled back hard and walked out with a victory over a team that hasn't lost at home in two years. You experts haven't given any credit to the Ponies. Go ahead and keep underestimating them. I'm pretty sure these kids will prove you wrong.

Back to the game...........Poehling was clearly the best player on the rink, no disrespect to Sagissor, 4 goals is an incredible night, but the big kid was dominant. The shorty was was the result of a brutal play by the ponies at the offensive blue line, After a nice pass Poeling was in alone and just finished it like a good player should. I thought his two assists were far better plays. Can't quite agree with the observation on Johnson, to me he looked disinterested for the most part.
Just to be clear, I am not throwing any goalie/goalies under the bus. Like I said, routine saves do need to be made though in order to compete.Flyer79 wrote:I can't take it anymore. Stillwater has some very good hockey players. Liked Manning, Saggisor, Cates, Bjugstad. Credit to them, when R. Poehling scored the shorty to make it 3-1 most teams would have rolled over and died, and I truly though a route was on. They battle hard. Well coached team.
