Curious what the Section seeds might look like next February?
We look into a crystal ball and show you.

YHH, you are prolific on topics , ranking close to Doug Hagen and Karl!
Pretty close on sections , but so much is riding on emerging goaltenders at this point--- LVN, Edina, STA. Will have better idea by end of December.
Im repeating comment from a different thread:
YHH , when do you have time to actually watch YOUTH hockey?? (But just out of curiousity, have you seen Mtka bantams a couple times yet, what do you think, likely to three peat someday?)

We watch a lot of hockey..in the rink.
I've seen all of the top Squirts (except Hermantown and Moorhead...Spuds play first game this year tonight). Seen all of the top PWA and PWAA - we hosted the Big Pumpkin to kick off season. We hosted the Blue Ox 2 weeks ago saw top Bantams, have seen Tonka 4x at Ox, plus 2x in EP and 2x at Centennial. Plus 10 or so HS games and a pile of Tier 1 in Blaine and Chicago. Here is a breakdown of Tonka:
Forward: Luke Loheit (grandson of Bill Goldsworthy)...high skill, can play D, great hands, has a nasty side. Bobby Brink (son of former Gopher Andy Brink)...single most talented player at the Bantam level, toys with people when he has the puck, gifted scorer. Jack Bayless, great speed, is an offensive weapon...could have played Varsity on 90% of the teams in the state, D1 prospect.
Defense: Clay Hanus (son of former SCSU Husky Tim), very gifted skater is an 8th grader that because of birthday is in his last year of Bantams, will skate Varsity like his dad at Tonka as 9th grader. Terrific talent. Josh Luedtke - great player who is in his third year of Bantam AA for Tonka, can play F, sees the ice well great puck handler and passer. Has been banged up a bit the last week or so....when healthy may their second most valuable weapon because of passing and versatility. Made it to NY last Summer as one top '00 in MN.
Got beat last Sunday by a very good EP team at EP tourney, first loss of the year in Minnesota.
Odds on favorite to repeat as State Champs this year.

Looks like your prediction on Holy Family didn't pan out at ALL. Holy Family beat Minnetonka and has never lost to them in their history. 4-0 HF over Minnetonka lifetime. Also HF beat Lakeville south who you seed 3 in 1aa and maple grove who you seed 3 in 5aa.....get it through your head that HFC is better than what you actually think. 3-1 loss to edina (empty net) and 3-2 in ot AT breck.YouthHockeyHub wrote:Curious what the Section seeds might look like next February?

It usually is a bad sign when you have to cite losses to try to prove you have a good team.HockeyonFire wrote:Looks like your prediction on Holy Family didn't pan out at ALL. When they make the section final for once I might start to believe, but I still doubt it.

I can actually research unlike you and tell you that since the beginning of 2015 in January only four teams in AA have a better record than Holy Family...
Lakeville North 18-1
Blaine 19-2-1
Edina 18-2
Elk River 13-2-1
Holy Family 14-3
I don't have to prove anything by losses.

I mean, your last post you definitely tried to prove something by showcasing their losses.
Three issues with your research,
1) You are combining two year's of teams for that win-loss record. This year is a new team, so last year really means nothing. They graduated the player with the most points in history for the fire. Two totally different teams.
2) They play in the Wright co conference. No offense to that juggernaut, but its not a challenge to win those hockey games.
3) I am actually not terrible at research, I can fact check pretty well too. Holy Family is not 14-3 since January, they are actually 14-4. It seems you forgot the loss to Benilde in the quarterfinals last year. Since January they have lost to Delano(ouch), Benilde(quarterfinals), Edina and Breck.
So again, get back to me if they make the section finals. Until they make it that far, they have proven nothing to me.

Uh, strength of schedule may have to be considered when going down that path. Good news is everyone qualifies for the playoffs so you can ease up on your insecurities.
